Foreword: I've searched around and can't find anything relating to this specific problem, everything I have found refers to the more common Python incompatibility problem stopping the lightmap processing to start with so if this has been mentioned and a solution given already then sorry.

Right, so I've been playing around with the level editor and keep coming across this problem regardless what kind of level I am trying to export, it will chug along fine processing lightmaps untill the end where the log will show:

I: 17:22:45 - Submiting jobs to lightmapper took 15 seconds.
I: 17:22:50 - Running lightmapper script.
I: 17:22:50 - Processing lightmap job C:\\\\\\\\DOCUME~1\\\\\\\\Eric\\\\\\\\LOCALS~1\\\\\\\\Temp\\\\\\\\DALightmap\\\\\\\\pom_cam\\\\\\\\F5CEDFB8-85F5-4353-B255-B53D43B99540\\\\\\\\job_lm0.xml ...
E: 17:22:58 - Job submission process failed with a return code of '-1073741819'.
E: 17:22:58 - Failed to submit lightmap layout [pom_cam]

And during the 'processing lightmap job' phase, I will get a typical windows pop-up informing me that EclipeRay.exe has hit a problem and needs to close, and asks me if I would like to report the problem to Microsoft yaddayadda.

I've tried differant versions of Python and am current using 2.5 as recommened else where on these forums, I have installed ActivePython 2.6 as another thread suggested this may be required as well (Both are 32bit btw).

Thinking it was a bad install, I have also redownloaded and installed the Toolset fresh after a full uninstall but the problem still occurs.

Anyone know what might be causing this problem and have any advise on how to fix this? At first I thought I had simply made a bad level, but after making 3 more levels one of which was just empty open terrain with nothing except a ambient light, a lightprobe, a point static light and a start marker and still caused the problem, I think it might be something else.

Edit: Also, should add that I own the game through a STEAM purchase, though I can not see that effecting the toolset myself anything is possible I suppose.

I can confirm you that ActivePython 2.6 won't work   (4 hours lost yesterday with the same issue)

The one that worked is ActivePhyton 2.5.4.4 that you can find here -> https://www.activest...thon/downloads/

2.6 is the supported new download, but it won't make lightmapper to work! you need 2.5

Thanks for the reply, I've uninstalled 2.6 and then installed 2.5.4.4 but am still getting the problem.

Anything else that needs to be done when going to a previous version that may be causing the problem to continue?

Anyone at all for any further suggestions?

Since installing Activepython 2.5 last, I have now tried uninstalled the Toolset including the Database and SQLServer 2005, completely removed any traces of Python, and reinstalled it all fresh... and I still get the exact same problem, both using activepython 2.5 and a seperate attempt using Python 2.5.4.4 along with the Windows extension for it.

Still getting the same exact problem at the same phase each time.
