Just noticed something awful about Arrival

When you dust off for the first time in Arrival, and are standing in the rain, the moon above you is Kledagon. I kid you not. Exact same scar. NOT a similar scar, but the very same one.
I get that a lot of stuff was recycled (animations, voices, mercs, etc) but for the love of all god, please Bioware...please put more effort into your DLC.

I didn't realize Mars had a great rift created by a ancient mass accelerator weapon.
But seriously. Why? Why would they put another distinctly repeated planet in Arrival? We literally haven't even gotten in the door, and there's a problem with the DLC.

They reused assets to save time and money. ME1 did this a lot, actually. They weren't counting on anyone looking that intently at the moon.
They could've easily shown a different moon. Or fogged out the half of the moon with the great rift (which they did with the unscarred half of the moon).
It's just proof that it's really sloppily done. I can understand recycling a different planet/moon--but THAT moon is supposed to be unique.

This moon issue pales in comparison for me.

Or at the Earth from the moon, for that matter....

I don't know if this was an entirely different development team from the main ME oriented guys working on ME2.
It was unfortunately. I had a bad feeling as soon as they mentioned another studio was doing it in one of the preview videos. Seriously why the heck wouldn't you have the LotSB team put together Arrival?
Bioware was suppose to have a dedicated team towards DLC for ME2. Eh so much for that I guess. I try not to entertain the thought Arrival may have been better had it been by the LotSB guys. Although for me the big problem with Arrival is the shakey story and presentation of it. The premise isn't bad (Reapers arriving early) but the way the events transpire in Arrival is plain awful.

Well, there's the problem then.

It's K-L-E-N-D-A-G-O-N. People seem to be dropping letters left and right - given the topic, I would expect a little more attention to details like this.

Lame. Oh well. At least DA is a different game altogether.

Klendagon (from ME1)

To be honest, the rift(?) on Mars looks more like a "glancing blow" then the one on Klendagon, Klendagon is bent more.

And the scar is identical. It's just upside down.

It's the Valles Marineris, the largest canyon in the Solar System. If it was on Earth, it would stretch across the entire continental US, and is four times deeper than the Grand Canyon.
Damnit, why can't they develop space travel faster? I want to go there!

Maybe some race took a cosmic spanning shot at the first civilization on Earth 65 million years ago, wiping out the dinosaurs, and blotting out the sun.
We should start a rumor that this is the way it happened, see how many people buy into it.
