Even though I only play on Casual, fights such as the Object Rho battle give me great greif, usually due to me getting flustered. I play as a Soldier, and want to get the 5-round achievement. Any tips on powers/weapons/armor set ups that'll help for the fight. Also, where is the best place to take cover? (Although I may seem a useless player, I'm fairly decent at shooters, but this fight gives me trouble)

Best cover is when you start looking at the Object Rho left side up the stairs is a L shaped section of cover. For whatever reason they just don't charge around you up there like they could, and are unusually timid approaching it. The columns also give some cover to allow you to sprint out to get dropped ammo.

Feel free to use all the 'cheap' strategies in the thread Kronner pointed out. The Object Rho fight is very different from anything else found in the game, so feel free to cheap it out, get the achievement, then figure out how you can master it later...

Oh one more thing: I feel that characters that specialize in extreme long range fights exclusively will have a harder time with the Arrival DLC, so bringing a more balanced/CQC-type loadout should help for your early PTs.

Don't worry about playing on casual, it's having fun that counts :o) As for the object rho fight, I got pasted too! :o( Although it was purely my fault as I didn't know the layout of the room and what I thought was leading up a small set of steps leading up was actually a dead end so I got cornered and wasted!

The worst boss fight I ever had was my very first one with the shadow broker. I got totally trashed about 6 times in a row before somehow scrabbling through it. I can beat him now though because I went back in there again the next day and practiced until I got a good strategy worked out. All in all it's just about perseverance and not giving up :o)

SB is a funny fight. Somehow I think it gets easier once you stop being scared of him and go nuts. With a Vanguard you can pretty much stand out in the open and Charge, shotgun to the face and repeat, even on insanity. My first fight I was convinced he would butcher me if I tried something like that, and I dragged him around the stairs while slowly killing him.

The SB fight is more gimmicky than anything. He can be beaten pretty readily with any reasonably accurate gun and using Liara to stagger him if you make a mistake. Just shoot his foot until he reels, then let loose. When he gets close, you can stagger him by sending Liara to hit him in the back, then run to another pillar/barricade. I've never charged him myself, but I guess I can see it being done quite readily too. Also, SB is defenseless against combat drones.

edit: srry, this SB talk is off topic.
