For me, I can picture Garrus and Wrex at peace talks with several guards from their own people present. Shepard and 2 squamates at the head of the table (or whatever). You fail the check, Garrus and Wrex begin shouting at one another. One of the turian guards mentions something about "finishing what they started," one of the krogan shouts "For Shiagur!" and all hell breaks loose. In a brief cinema scene, your 2 team members that you chose to bring with you are all like "Wtf do we do?!" At which point you are prompted to shoot at either Garrus or Wrex first. The one you shoot is obviously now your enemy. I don't think I could do it. They're both awesome.
How many peace treaties will we need to mediate?

And I would sooner shoot myself in the face before I let him try to negotiate anything.
I wouldn't let any of my squaddies try to negotiate. We're all used to the fine diplomatic trick of shooting things until they die from it to get our way. Leave it to the professionals.

Yeah, not sure I want to be spending my game sitting in a room and trying to debate politics. My main renegade Shep would totally be like, "Stand with me now or gtfo of my way."
He doesn't have time to play nice. He's got a galaxy to save.

Ah, just saw a vid of Mordin referring to the hopeful alliance.RocketManSR2 wrote...
The salarians created the genophage, but the turians did nearly all the fighting. That's why the krogan hate them just a bit more.
At any rate, I still stand by the rest of my post.
However, I can see that there might be potential problems on the team if 2 factions don't get along. But at this point, I'm hoping that all of our team is devoted to Shepard now and won't let any hostilities that arise get in the way.

I don't see that happening, far more likely is it well deal with the quarians and geth conflict. In which case (diplomacy failing) and there can be no peace, I'd snap Tali's neck. The geth will be more useful in the war, plus I want to see if the feet match the central nervous system.
Back to the topic, the idea is good, but I cant kill either. I like em both(Krogan and turians, not the quarians.)

The Krogan are upset at both the Turians and Salarians. If negotiations fail I'd slink away and wait to see who comes out on top. I'd doubt if there will be another personal shooting of a squadmate unless said squadmate is suffering from indoctrination and a) They ask for your help to end it. AndRocketManSR2 wrote...
What heartbreaking consequences could occur if we fail the inevitable P/R checks? Discuss.

Turian vs Krogans, Salarians acts as middle man bringing the cure.Saberchic wrote...
I think it'll be more like salarians vs. krogan than turians vs. krogan. From what I've gathered, I think it'll depend more on what you did in ME2 coupled with your P/R meter. Also, I'm sure there are missions Shep will be sent on to make alliances. I can see how those missions end might decide what happens in the story.

Geth vs Quarians, fighting over homeworld.
Humans vs Batarians, for obvious reasons.

Wanting a rematch =/= wanting a revenge.
The Krogans hate the Salarians because they rendered them unable to wage real battles. They hate the Salarians because they forever defeated them not through real battle, but "with a syringe".
The Krogan ways dictate that a loss is nothing to hold grudge over, means you weren't strong enough and need to build up more muscle. But what the Salarians did was cheating.
You human don't understand!
