what they aren't entitled to do is stalk and harrass someone in the thread..expressing THEIR OWN opinions. Get off my back, get off my tail. I really don't care what you think. Clear?

I play in real time with my whole team set up to defend each other, I love the battles and setting up strategies. I DO NOT play with the pause feature at all. I play on hard mode. Eventually I may wipe all those characters and start over again on Nightmare. I love challenge. I love to challenge myself. DA:O is a good game (for me) to do exactly that.

I doubt it actually, and I doubt people will be buying DA2 now. How many copies did DA:O sell in the first 3 or 4 months after it released?
Doesn't matter, it cost a lot more to make. DA2 almost certainly did have a net profit. That's all that matters to them.
Hmmm.... true. This makes me fearful that the Dragon Age series will die by DA3.
If that happens, I pray to God that I (or anyone on here really) win the lottery so I can start my own gaming company and resurrect the series, starting with DA2 and making Hawke's story an actual... well.... story. Making the framed narrative work better, class specific origins, more locations, etc.
Now, all I need to do is find a bunch of people who excel in certain fields of game making. I'm a good storywriter myself, but I'd need others. And level designers. And other things.
I'd also need to acquire the rights to the series I guess, so as to avoid lawsuits.
If somebody else won and started a gaming company with this plan in mind, be sure to hire me!
Well start by hiring the modders who already know DA:O and DA: 2 then.

I like this game it IS replayable, and it is possible to do it many many ways. I suppose you are one of the ones that plays an rpg for 5 hours, and comes on the boards and declares...Ta Da!! I dun beat da game..I r dat gud!

Didn't say you were retarded did I? Reading comprehension ftw. I will say this however. You seem to think that whatever I state is comical, hilarious. That's fine...but it IS MY OPINION. I am allowed one just as you are. Your rights leave off...WHERE MINE BEGIN.
So let's end this little soap opera..okies. The thread isn't about me. Time to switch gears and get back on topic.

ok so a lot of people bash Dragon Age 2 so I thought I'd list some FACTS to the haters around here:
1.Dragon Age 2 has EXAGGERATED sword models compared to Origins. WRONG! Modders have proven that sword sizes are the same except Hayden's Razor.
Nope. Length is roughly the same, but width has gone nuts since DA:O. Fair enough there was that one sword that was a thick as the DA2 ones, but the majority were a lot thinner.
Anyway, this is actually a problem I have with both games. Well, I did have, before Adonnay came along. Thank the various fictional dieties for mods.
2. Alistair looks swollen because the modelers are incompetent. WRONG! Alistair's face looks much better in proper lightning... the problem is the shader.

Good luck justifying that one, chief.
3. Crafting system was simplified. FACT: most crafting abilities have just been made differently by being accessed at Hawke's home and finding different ingredients.
Can't comment on this, haven't spent enough time on it. *shrugs*
4. Combat has been simplified and made less tactical. FACT: combat has been made more fluid and responsive but still retains many tactical elements from Origins.
Maybe, but nothing justifies multiple waves of airborne infantry parachuting in from the Kirkwall Air Force's considerable fleet of C-130 Hercules'.
5. BioWare forums prove that most fans hate Dragon Age 2. FACT: the forums are the central point of BioWare flaming right now. it's not an accurate representation of what the fans think of dragon age 2.
No, not like this. DA2 has had a far bigger response than anything previously, and has been far more divisive. This happened back with ME2, your right, and many times before then, but never this bad. Some pretty influential bloggers have even weighed in on the subject.
6. Dragon Age 2's plot is far worse than that of Origins. FACT: While it's subjective to declare which game had the better story, Dragon Age: Origins 'borrows' many cliches and tropes from generic fantasy settings and LOTR.
Uh huh. Except that it was clearly rushed. Many characters are horribly underdeveloped (Hi, Meredith!) and player choice is severely gimped.

Us? I don't "hate" on anyone..hate is a very strong word. Everyone makes mistakes, and thats coz they're human..right? Nobody perfect and all that jazz. I think where they went wrong is attempting to fix what wasn't broken. Dragon Age Origins was and is a wonderful story/ game. I will replay it again and again. Challenging my progress with attempts to do things I haven't done yet.
Dragon Age 2, while it is pretty and some things animation wise and graphically might be nicer, still don't like the masseffectivization of Dragon Age. It doesn't fit. It fits in the sci fi world of Mass Effect. Are all Bioware games going to become homogenized like this? No separate identities. What am I going to see when Tor arrives..more of the same? When I buy a new game, that's exactly what I am expecting, a new game. Something different from the last one I played. Not an assembly line clone that harks back to Mass Effect.
To be honest I have Mass Effect on my machine, just not my game, characters feel kind of robotic to me, so I am not attracted to playing it. At least in DA:O you had characters that were hard to get to know..ie: Morrigan, or Sten, you had to pay attention to what they reacted to and what they said. Those two are my favorites btw.
So no I don't "hate" Bioware, they are my favorite gaming company, they have just (in my opinion) strayed away from where they were...and maybe they'll find it again in regards to the Dragon Age franchise.
