I was thinking of being a shield and sword warrior and going Champion/Templar and putting all my points into Constitution. Wil lthat make me immiune to death if I get Wynne in my party? I want a class that is like neally impossible to kill :P.

You may want to put points into Strength as well to wear the best tanking gear ;). I should also mention that unless you're using cheats or other exploits, you can never be "immune to death".

Once you get crushed in a prison while having curse of mortality on, you will die, always

1. Strength

2. Dexterity

3. Constitution

4. Willpower

It's what I would recommend. Then there's tactics. Make sure you kill off enemy mages first, then archers.

Cleanse Aura, or similar type spell will save you. Force field gets you out of Crushing Prison.

That's when you Force Shield that character, or pop a dispel of some sort .

Just give Wynne Forcefield for invulnerability, unfortunately there's no other way to be anywhere close to God mode syndrome except near the end, but even then you simply will die in this game with improper tactics regardless of your build.

Pump STR to the point when you can wear the best massive armor.
Pump DEX to the point when you can take all the shield talents.
Now you can spend most of your points into CON.
Don't forget to put points into WILL now and again to use abilities and into STR so that you can actually hit things, but you should not need to spend a lot on these.
Buy best taking gear, for example in dwarf city there is a ring that give +10 CON and +to heals recieved.
You can still be killed if you are not carefull.

Force field gets you out of any spell, since you cant take damage with it on. :o

I kept Alistair's Constitution at 18. I put 42 points into Strength to use the best armor, and then I put the rest into Dexterity.

Constitution only raises your health, so you can take more hits before you die. Dexterity helps with your defense, which is your avoidance.

Be sure to swap out armor! +20% Spell Resistance Armor + Sword and Shield with +8% Spell Resistance runes for spellcasters. +Armor and +Physical Resistance armor + Sword and Shield with whatever runes for melee/ranged.

And yes, you will learn to fear the Red Aura of Death that negates all healing done to you. Either Force Field it or run away!

If you pump up strength fast to get the best armour, you'll die a lot while trying to achieve it, but after you put it on and smooth out your dex and con issues 3-4 levels later you'll be fine, deffinately.

Offense is best defense. Arrow of Slaying + Mana Clash + Glyph in the door + Inferno + Storm of the Century inside + Mass Paralyze + Virulent Walking Bomb.

Then send warriors inside to loot the bodies.

3 spirit healer mages with a sword and board warrior as a tank is pretty close to invincible.

Game becomes almost faceroll at that point.
