Not sure why that has such a toll on GPU performance when plugged in, but I Alt+Tab'd in and out of the game, checking and unchecking the "Smart power-saving hard disk" option, and that fixed it!

Twelve months ago on these forums, I had already seen it come up many times, and told that member this:H-con wrote...
I've just downloaded the game, installed it, and went into the configuration tool to get the game set up to the standard I think my computer can handle, but it won't even allow me to set the standards that I want, since it seems unable to find my dedicated graphics card.
Anyone who has any idea how I can get this to work?
I really don't want to play in a integrated Intel GPU, not much fun with that...{smilie}
nVIDIA still hasn't remedied the problem. It's showing up in the ME-3 Demo.You have a very common problem that MANY games have with your badly designed Chipset's and GPU's firmware, and need to visit nVIDIA's forums and support to work it out. Typically, only a very narrow range of drivers are going to work to access the "correct" video option. Many games' forums have had members complaining about the various Optimus devices.
