I think the most implementable way to simulate Indoctrination effect could be just using some sort of motion blur and sound filters making it more difficult for Shepard (and player) to aim and understand what is happening around in general. I don't know though, might just be frustrating to players.

Then, Shepard is much a cyborg in ME2 and indoctrination doesn't work that well against synthetic life forms.

Or maybe not in combat, but cut-scenes? You do a paragon interrupt, but it makes you do a renegade?

Say you hear voices as you play, and see things that aren't there. Sometimes you have to fight it, and it makes you do things that you don't wanna do sometimes. Would give ME3 a nice horror psychological theme.

No. The basis for that gameplay is explored in Dead Space, Silent Hill, F.E.A.R., and Condemned. The closest out of body and potentially psychologically scarring Shep experiences is in the Arrival when he gets hacked and when he activates the Prothean beacon. But having nightmarish visions while playing ME3 wouldn't really fit into the overall game. Shep is so bada** at the moment that he's not even feeling PTSD. He's just chillin' waiting for his story to be over.

Yeah. It worked in dead space because of how that game was set up. Mass Effect is nothing like that in terms of tone. We don't want or need Shepard going crazy.

Won't look matching. Shepard is constantly surrounded by people; also he isn't the only who can complete the task - he may be the best, but not the only. Now tell me, who in right mind would let hallucinating man onto the battlefield when there may be safer substitutes? Even better - who let the hallucinating man command the squad?

I'd prefer not to be indoctrinated. Too much weird.
