There are "smaller reapers", well sort of.

All reapers are much smaller than the big cuttlefish like warships they inhabit. They are all supposedly similar in size to the human reaper and look like the race that was destroyed (turned into pulp) in order to make them.

So all cuttlefish warships have, somewhere inside, the actual reaper it's self that looks like the race that was transformed into a reaper. However, the reapers may be very small compared to their ship, but think how big that human reaper was, so in that respect you are correct, reapers are too large to have as squad mates.

So OP, interesting thought but its never going to happen. There may be a reaper that helps you, I mean we learned not all the geth agree, and if all reapers are as intelligent and individual as they claim, its not beyond the realms of possibility that some of them disagree with the rest of them.
