Zaeed's the kind of guy I'd buy a beer for in some backwater bar just to listen to him tell me his story.

I demand a return of Zaeed Massani in Mass Effect 3, do you hear me Bioware?

Indeed, he's the real leading man to me. I used him for like 90-95% of the game in most of my playthroughs.

I agree.
I didn't fully appreciate Zaeed until I took him on other squaddies' loyalty missions (Jack's in particular, along with Garrus'). I love his "way"; I'm not sure how else to explain it. The more missions I take him on, the more I like him.

Vido already killed a bunch of workers, you're preventing him from killing more in the future by taking him out!

Maybe. Maybe someone else will instantly step into line and start killing workers again. Maybe it'll start a gang war that kills a lot of Blue Suns, maybe it'll start one that kills them plus a lot of innocents. I don't and can't know. What I do know is whom I can save, here and now, and what I'll do about that.Seboist wrote...

No one told me about this Kai Leng person from the novels. A top cerberus assassin who's coming after Shephard in ME3. This ruins my whole scenario, oh well i guess my Shep owes Zaeed a drink after all.LONE108 wrote...
So he picked himself up and dusted off then ploted for 20 yrs to get Vido, when the Blue Suns are every were in the Terminis system. How hard could it have been to track him down, being a ex-Merc/Bounty Hunter of his caliber. I dont know what Bioware's plans are for Zaeed but it just sounded more interesting to have Zaeed as the first candidate for the Lazarus Project seeing as it took them 2yrs to bring back Shepard it could've taken decades for the first attempt. Would have made a great betrayal story for ME3, if Zaeed was still endebted to Cerberus to either kill or bring Shepard in to the Illusive Man if Shepard ever went against Cerberus. As you can tell i've thought about this alot and Zaeed is still cool even though i dont trust him.

Good point. The guy got out, he can run back and turn on the fire extinguishes just fine. Don't worry, Zaeed! My next three Sheps will let you kill Vido no problem!

After playing through his mission countless times in both ways, it makes sense to let Zaeed carry out his revenge. He's carried that moment around for twenty years. It's obvious he isn't going to let it go. Of course, him withdrawing and respecting your leadership says a lot. Still, my next Sheps aren't letting Vido get away for anything. Zaeed is a part of Shep's crew now - he's her responsibility. And whoever hurt her crew in any way, is getting their ass kicked to the next race of sentient machines bent on organic extermination.
As for Jessie, I was also touched by his attachment to it. Almost cute in a way. Almost. Then I played DA2 and Varric's attachment to Bianca just made me think of Zaeed.

I personally only apply that to those who hurt my crew while they are my crew. It's why Enyala gets killed but Sidonis doesn't.And whoever hurt her crew in any way, is getting their ass kicked to the next race of sentient machines bent on organic extermination.

Yeah. To date, Zaeed LM is the only decision in the series I really consider a tough one, as even now I have to think before I do it. Actually it doesn't have to do with saving the workers at all, it's more a matter of my squad understanding they can't ignore my command - period. And Zaeed is one of the squadmates I think better of, but I really don't like how he says "and if he gets away I'm blaming you." So I don't care if this were Jack or Jacob, that is not acceptable. If I specifically order Vido to walk out alive, he better go with it! He's lucky that doesn't tip me over the edge into saving the workers instead.
At the end of the day, Zaeed's full focus to the mission is all that matters, more people will be saved if he's at his best on the 'mission. At the end of the day, we're there only for his loyalty, so I'll let it slide (barely). Only way to safely secure it is to take the safest course to make sure Vido gets killed. And as a added bonus, Vido's death will at least cripple the 'Suns for a short time.

Zaeed is a solid sidekick. He is a good shooter with the mattock, and disprptor ammo can be pretty amazing if used correctly. I know that all of the squad members are controlled by the same AI, but some characters are better for more missions than others are. You can take Zaeed anywhere and do well.
Its a shame he was added so late to the game. He could have had real conversation options and dialogue. Still, its neat hearing about Jessie and the Krogan helmet.
Regardless of how 'palsy' we are, I am not watching a building full of people burn to death in order to fulfil his revenge. I usually play paragon, so its just NOT going to happen. As a renegade..... sure! We go after Vido and end his pathetic life no matter how many people he hides behind.
