Very good character, another guy that is a bit deeper than just being a violent merc. Some very telling info in his dossier in LOTSB. And great voice acting to boot.

I going to say this.  I really don't like the guy, but BioWare did a great job with writing and the VA did an excellent job to make me not like the guy.  Bad acting doesn't make me dislike someone in a game/movie, but good acting does.  Him and Martin Sheen both made me dislike their characters because they did a good job of making them believable.

I would like to see him again, so Shepard can punch him in the face again.  I do support that.  :P

My favourite character in ME2. Whenever I need a heavy combat squad I take Grunt and Zaeed along to get the job done. His "lessons" are a hoot.

Took him with me a ton, he's exactly the guy you want at your side in a firefight, has that rock solid psycho feel to him.  Like him more than almost all of the non DLC squadmates, honestly, Tali and Garrus aside (and Liara).

I hardly ever took him.  If I needed a heavy it was either Garrus or Grunt both of them have concussive shot.  His attitude during is LM with the workers annoyed my canon Shep.  She was never one to let innocent people die for no reason and to me he had only revenge on his mind.  To my canon Shep that was unacceptable, which is why she punched him in the face.

His story were cool, I will give him that.

The squad was pinned down and Zaeed did what he had to do. He's a good man.

I support Zaeed for ME3. My FemShep wants to help him retake the Blue Suns as a sidequest so they fight the Reapers with us.
She also wants to punch him in the mouth again...cuz he likes it!

There is always another way.  Zaeed forced that issue.  They were not pinned down, but locked out.  Difference there.  Do you really think a handful of merc is going to stop Shepard?  With Zaeed there or not?  I don't think so.

...they were locked IN, faced with an enemy with both superior firepower, numbers and overlapping fields of fire from an elevated position. DO you really think Vido would say, "well it was nice seeing you again, don't let the door hit you on your way out"

So, Zaeed got a mention in an interview with Casey Hudson and Derek Watts.

Will many of your friends help fight [the Reapers]?

Every main character is in there somewhere, kind of doing the thing that is right for that character. Zaeed for example is a very simple character and what he's up to is different to, say, Liara, who is very pivotal.

Am I the only one a little torn about this statement? I mean, on the one hand, yes--assuming the Illusive Man actually paid Zaeed after ME2, Zaeed's going to have a lot of credits and he's going to want to spend them. It would be kind of amazing to find Zaeed utterly wasted or living like a king in ME3, but.... I was kind of hoping for more than that with Zaeed.

Maybe that's unfair of me to ask of Zaeed, because not exactly the most selfless guy in the world. But I kind of wanted to see him blow all of the Illusive Man's money on some REALLY BIG GUNS and then stand with my Shepard against the Reapers.

"Burn, you son of a b****."

Zaeed is a indeed a simple character. His personality is one dimensional straightforward soldier business guy. His "drama" on the game is just a basic cliche: revenge. And he deals with it in the most simple way: guns blazing, explosions, murder, no time to think. He's a 1980's misterious bad ass experienced soldier. We like him because of this simplicity combined with a solid visual character design and spot on voice acting.

He is a simple character, period. Kasumi is also a simple character, her "drama" (backstory) though, much deeper.

The only thing Liara was based on was blue nooky. That is simple. We have enough smarmy LI's in Bioware's games now just a give us a badass or two.

Yeah, if you take Zaeed at face-value, he's a "simple" character. So is Jack. It doesn't surprise me that you think Kasumi is "simple," too, because she purposefully keeps everything light and superficial. As Kelly said, "It'll be a challenge to learn who she really is."

Zaeed's complexity is there, even if he doesn't broadcast it. He's like an old dog who just wants to lie on the porch, and would happily do so if not for the tireless flies that buzz in his face.

I mean, just listen to his story about his gun, Jesse. The whole story. How it ends says it all. Or look at his personal log from the Shadow Broker DLC. Contemplating suicide? I'm sorry, but "simple" characters don't contemplate suicide.

"After that, Jesse couldn't be fixed. Nothing anyone could do. Like she'd finally had enough blood and was ready to rest. Been resting ever since."

One of the few characters who made me say, upon meeting them- you're awesome, more awesome than I am. The most badass character in any bioware game i've played. He has no anime looks, batman complex, or crazy religious side. Just a pure English badass. The guy you want there for when the **** goes down, as it tends to in Mass Effect.

I bring Zaeed along A LOT. He's a great shot, and I love his comments; hell of a sense of humor from that one. :D

Doesn't mean Zaeed isn't a simple character. And don't get me wrong slim, I like Zaeed and our bad ass characters on the ME universe, I grew up watching action 80's movies. As I said, I/we like him because of his simplicity too, we couldn't have those awesome one liners like "big goddamn heroes" or "rage is one hell of an anesthetic" if he wasn't the way he is. Of course he could be better developed, but I don't think this was Bioware's plan (DLC character).

" because she purposefully keeps everything light and superficial. As Kelly said, "It'll be a challenge to learn who she really is." Yeah, that's it. You got my point, lol. If the complexity is there, but the character doesn't broadcast it, where is it then?
I didn't remember his file on the Shadow Broker, I gave it a look and to me just seems like he doesn't have a good retirement plan already, that he's not a person who easily fits anywhere. The suicide part is sarcasm. The backstory of Jesse, I'm sorry but I found
it unisteresting and didn't add much on his character. If you're thinking that was a metaphor as a sign to Zaeed stop and retire, well, he didn't get it and Bioware too.

This is the real method for destroying the Reapers.

Jessie will wake up thirsty for Reaper blood.

And she won't stop goddamn firing until that thirst has been slaked.

Well i really want Zaeed in ME3 even though he has been hinted to have some role in the ME3 universe which i cant wait for...

I thought he was an interestng charatcer and deserves to be in ME3, plus it is not just shepards war its everyones war, sp he should be in it to some degree.

I prefer him over Jacob any day. Would of rather of had Zaeed originally in ME2 than Jacob because Jacob was about as fun as a door...

So i am all for Zaeed to come and help Shepard at soe point in the game... Kasumi too...

yeah, I'd think Zaeed would postpone his retirement a bit. The impending doom of the galaxy can screw up the best laid plans. lol
