Zaeed is the man and I'd love to have him back on the team. He typically has good lines that are consistent with his survivor badass role. He certainly doesn't think well of Jacob's father, though.

Totally agreed. I was crazy about Zaeed, and was surprised that he is so unpopular. I would have romanced him SO HARD!
I just finished ME2 yesterday, and was kinda bummed...it's the first Bioware game I ever played in which I didn't pursue a romance. No one can compare to the awesomeness that is Zaeed. *sigh*

So, what's your favorite Zaeed dialog?  I liked when he told Shepard to walk off the poison, because, you know, a little bit of poison never hurt anyone.

Dat accent.  But seriously, there's no good renegade romance choice for FemShep.  Garrus is sorta ren I guess, but not really, especially his awkward-ass romance.

Too many to pick a favorite like him saying "will somebody shut that **** up?" in RE: to Jedore, his Jessie tales or the one about the Blood Pack helmet.

Indeed, no good renegade romance for a femshep and one who's pro-human.  The ideal ones would be Zaeed and TIM but unfortunately they're not available.

The only one that works for a renegade is Kaidan but only because he's so timid and submissive about whatever femshep does or says.

Seriously, if you can throw Fenris up against the wall, why not Zaeed? Maybe BW thought his age wouldn't appeal to a younger demographic. Canon says he's 40-ish but that bullcrap if I've ever heard it.

I don't think he's too old (prolly late 40s-50ish). It's his scars that give the impression he's older than what he really is.

Zaeed is my favorite character out of everyone in ME. On every loyalty mission I bring Zaeed and whoever needs to be brought. When I'm doing regular missions I bring Zaeed and Garrus. ME1 is Garrus and Wrex.

Funny you should mention the smoking. I only noticed the ashtray with the cigar/cheroot in it recently. I wonder if all those scorch marks in his area is from trash from the compactor catching alight?

I was never really crazy-fond of him (though I did like him more than say Thane or Jacob) due to not being able to dialogue him like the other squad members. But with my femShep (who's in love with him big time already, even if she hated how he disobeyed her during his LM) he is with her every mission and he has some really great lines. The funniest so far was when he asked if he needed to kneecap the 'biotic god' during Samara's recruitment mission.

And that hairstyle, all gelled back with omni-gel or something equally horrible, just makes me like him more.

Zaeed is easily on my top 3 list of favorite companions in ME2. My renegade femShep definitely has a soft spot for him and is waiting for him to make a move already in ME3. Fingers-crossed friendos.

He's one of my top three companions(along with Tali and Legion), in fact he's THE top companion.

God willing he becomes a LI in ME3.

I love taking him on Archangel's recruitment mission. He has a ton of unique dialogue with the Blue Suns mercenary commander.
