Above we see....
-Exodus Cluster: Eden Prime and Terra Nova (!)
-Horse head Nebula: Noveria (!!) EDIT: We may also visit Minuteman Station. A cerberus facility located there.
-Serpent Nebula: Citadel (confirmed, I believe)
-Crescent Nebual: Illium. (confirmed as well. A mission called "Conflic Zone" might take place there)
-Styx theta or Hawking Eta. (I dont really remember if there's anything important, there)
-EDIT: In Hawking Eta, Shepard found the derelict reaper. Possible key to the Reapers' destruction?
-Minos Wasteland: Invictus (That Turian jungle planet with the deadly virus... remember?)
-The Shrike Abyssal or The Vallhallan threshold (faintly visible behind Crescent Nebula): Garvug and The Migrant Fleet were in The Vallhallan threshold in ME2. Probavly a flotilla-asociated quest there. The Shrike Abyssal hadonly a bunch of Volus planets. Nothing remarkable for now...
-New Location. (just a bit to the left of the Krogan DMZ. We dont know absolutly anything about it)
I found those by comparing the galaxy maps from both games. We dont know anything for sure and I think that we should threat this news as just rumors. Remeber that we are 9 months away from the release and anything can change.
Anyways, I am personally exited about Eden Prime and Terra Nova as well as Noveria. I think we did not see enough of eden Prime and as for Terra Nova, we only saw it from high orbit (bring down the sky). Noveria... I dunno... I just didn't have enough of that planet! heh!
So, what do you think? Big news right?
That new location sitting right to the left of the Aralakh System/Krogan DMZ is, I believe, turian space. Codex information about the Krogan Rebellions reveals that the turians' space is located on the opposite side of krogan home space from the Citadel. They were able to deal crippling blows to the krogans from their less defended rear.
This is also an area of the Milky Way Galaxy that has never been explored before in the previous two games. I would go as far as theorizing that this cluster could contain the turians' home star system and their home planet of Palaven.
