Anyone planning to do a walkthrough where nearly every squadmate is dead?

So that's Ashley, James, and Liara as the only squadmates for ME3.
For laughs, I think I'll do my second playthrough on such a save. It'll be fun, but I hope that BioWare doesn't throw a cheap shot and replace characters with other characters just because they died, like how Wrex was replaced with Wreav when he dies. I want to see the impact of a character's death.

I plan on doing one of those playthroughs. I'm still trying to decide which two characters should live. My Shepard is a Spacer, Sole Survivor, and a Vanguard. I'm trying to avoid going full renegade or full paragon. Any suggestions?
What did you do with Jack on her loyalty mission? If you convinced her to let whats-his-name go, she might fit for a sole survivor (hates Cerberus) vanguard (biotic). She might be a little too renegade, though.
EDIT: quick question for OP. Not to derail or anything, but why would you by the "ultimate edition" of DA:O if you already have the game and expansion? Just for the extra goodies that come with an ultimate edition? (I've considered buying a collector's edition of ME2 but I already have two of the normal ones)

It includes all of the DLC. Plus, I got it for $20 during a Steam sale.

Oh, okay. Yeah if there was a ME2 version with DLC I'd buy it too.

I'm playing ME1 with this character. The characters that live can be either full renegade or full paragon, it's just Shepard that won't be. Jack could be a good fit for my ME3 game.EternalAmbiguity wrote...

Ehh, that's right -but Wrex's death has zero impact on the world (he simply gets replaced by Wreav (or what's his name ?) doing essentially the exact same things a living Wrex does in ME2).sighineedname wrote...
I've never killed Wrex so far, but his death is acknowledged in ME2, isn't it? I assume they can make it important in the third one since they don't have to worry about more tangents.
...I guess instead of "acknowledge" I should have written "impact". That's what really irks me. Choices and consequences. Dead squadmembers should result in consequences and not be absorbed by deus ex machina NPCs filling in the plothole they left.
