The people who demand clean shaven men clearly have never met chest hair stubble.

Like I said, I don't mind breasts and asses but it's becoming a major focus nowadays in Bioware games. I barely even looked at Isabella's face because I was staring at her rack most of the time not because its artfully done but because it's right there in YOUR FACE. Same goes for Miranda's bottom. They provide too much emphasis to these body parts rather than facial emotions for example and now we have Liara and Ashley coming up in ME3 with bigger breasts than they used to have.

Yeah it was worse with DA2. Lot of huge breasts, and it's pretty insulting when they are so exaggerated. You're not the only one that thinks that way. I couldn't really tell a difference in that video between the 2 Liaras. It was noticeable with Ashley though.

I don't mind any of this, what bugs me though is that there's just a default body model. Like literally every woman from Isabela to Hawke's elderly mom has huge breast, and every man from Gamlen to the talkative man is on steroids. I'd like to play a game once in which instead of 6 different races you have actual variation in one race.

Hmm... I like boobies. Now what's missing is proper male objectification. I've only seen Jacob being objectified so far and I don't like that psycho (no offense =P). Make the guy as hot as the chicks = problem solved. No one can get angry anymore.

I beat this topic into the ground before. This post will be about as long as my comment to that video. In short, BioWare has been doing this since "Jade Empire". Scholar Ling and Radiant Jen Zi's outfits were particularly dubious. "Mass Effect" had a few curious design decisions too, but other than that and hipsway, the games were not too bad. It was not until I saw a Chasind robe and Dalish armor set in DAO that things started really feeling iffy, and ME2 brought it home.

Are other companies worse about this? Hell yes they are. Does that make some of the dubious design choices in ME2 acceptable? Hell no it doesn't. It's a good thing BioWare's writers manage to give at least some of their female characters interesting roles to compensate. There goes my worthless pocket change of an opinion. Back to my regularly scheduled forum surfing.

I don't mind any of it but I'd rather they focused on something more important.

they should just ad a boob and butt size slider in the game options.. maybe then everyone one will stop complaining....

But seriously as long as they arn't goofily disproportioned is there really a problem? I mean it not like they're useing barbie as their model (who would be physically incapable of standing upright in real life)

So...

...what's in the video?

I've had my intelligence insulted quite a lot today, I'm cautious.

Well, they already have to dedicate some time and resources to design each character. It's not like it takes extra time if the breast or butt is bigger.

If one companion is more appealing visually than others, I'm certainly guilty of bringing that companion along on missions more frequently, even if they are not strategic for combat.

Personally I think Jack was the hottest ME2 character. Although the devs obviously referenced Sinead O'Connor, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Well, if it helps you feel better I am still willing to buy ME3 after seeing ME2 and screenshots of the new game. When it gets really, *really* bad I draw the line. "Dragon's Crown" anyone? Bleh.

To be fair, the male version of the Chasind Robe was also very fanservice-ish. Can't argh about the Dalish Armor, though, especially because it covers the male more than the females.

Comparison screen shots of ME Ashley and Liara with their ME2 and ME3 counterparts. Also a bit of video illustrating how camera placement was used to show off Miranda's bottom. As people cooler than me say, dat ass and them sexagons. :P

I thought David Silverman was included. Him going from promoting awesome to sexy would have been bad for my mental health.

Nothing serious then.

True. What got me about the Chasind robes on females was the massive jump in cup size. I liked the thigh high boots and stitched leather appearance, but that was pushing it. Someone wrote earlier that they thought Isabela was passable because her outfit reflects her character, ect ect. That I agree with. I do not object to sexiness or larger breast sizes on its own. Rather, it is when I feel a design choice or scene direction was chosen solely to appeal to a certain male demographic's sexual instinct that I get annoyed.
