 What kind of roll do you think the geophage will have in ME3?  I personally think that if Wrex unites the krogan, then having a massive army of hunky space-lizard-men would wreak havoc upon the reapers.  But I also saved the Rachni Queen...

The role of the Genophage will probably be a bargaining chip if Wrex was killed on Virmire. Mordin has the research, meaning that Shep will probably have acess to it as well. From a Renegade standpoint I see using it to force the Krogan into an uneasy allegiance. "You fight for me and I'll give you the cure." Now if Wrex lived then maybe the Paragon choice would be just to give it to them in which case Wrex uses it to unite the clans once and for all making them available to fight the Reapers. Pure speculation though.

One of the videos shows a female Krogan in a cell and Mordin treating her as if she was Mary, the mother of God.

So, I'm pretty sure the genophage gets worked out one way or another.
