I think this is a perfect example of short term satisfaction over long term. You guys marched the streets, protested the vendors and went hard on the forums. And now look where we are?

All of the Me2 cast can die.
Most of the me2 cast wont be coming back.

What does this logically mean? Your romances in me2, Tali, Garrus, Thane, Jacob(LOL) Miranda and Jack. will not have anywhere near as much content as Ashley, Liara or Kaidan. Remember the whole premise behind me2 was to keep these guys alive. So I think some of you fans are a little delusional when it comes to your favourite LI's. Some of them have no chance of hell of being continued;
Jacob and Thane

and some of them will get half as much content as the main LI's:
Tali, Jack and Garrus

The point of this topic is not to be spiteful but to kind of keep things realistic.I find this board has a problem dealing with the reality of things.  I know Bioware said "ALL ROMANCES WILL COUNT" but that's a fairytale. They do not have enough time in the world to flesh out romances for every npc that you shagged.

Now, as a quick fling, sure, these romances served their purpose, but I do not understand the players who think their me2 LI's will get just as much content.

Nah. I think everyone will get their shot. If Bioware didn't think it was important they wouldn't have done it. The LI's were not filler like some stupid N7 mission. They made us wait for Tali to be recruited in 2 and really one started to develop relationships after completing their loyalty missions. Bioware isn't going to just toss them aside. They may not be all in at once, but they will be there. Love story is second behind the fate of the universe.

The only LI who cannot die is Liara, so I doubt that means only characters who cannot die are going to get content in ME3.

If not...well, good thing I romanced Liara then.

Actually, no.

It has pretty much been shown that romances that are popular, like Liara, are going to get more showtime compared to everyone else. So characters like Tali, Garrus, Liara, Miranda, and Thane will probably get more screentime than say, Jacob or Jack.

Now, Zeel, you've stated before that you think Bioware romances & character relations are garbage content, that take away from key elements like gameplay. Why would you think anything of any cruelties done to those bad romancing-types?

you are very optimisitic. I'm not much of a tali/garrus/alien fan but even I wouldn't mind if they fleshed out their romances.. It comes down to time and resources. How much romances is that?

Ashley/Kaidan
Liara
Jack
Miranda
Garrus
Tali
Thane
Jacob
+S/s relationship holder.

Me1 had 3, me2 had 6 and me3 should have 10?  Uh.. keep in mind, this is the game thats suppose to wrap up ALL THE storylines. I think its unreasonable to expect equal content from some of the lesser chars (Jacob, Thane)

This is really a cynical point of view. It's been made clear that romance subplots are the thing the fans love the most. Bioware's not gonna favor the ME1 LIs, nor are they gonna favor the ME2 ones.

delusional.

Jack is a party member,
Thane has brain cancer.
Miranda is not even confirmed yet.

Though I agree with you about Tali and Garrus might come close but will not rival Ashley/Liara's.That's because Ashley and Liara are apart of the plot now, unlike Tali and Garrus, who are essentially placeholders.

the fact that me2 had a new cast JUST TO KEEP me1 romancee's alive isn't "favourtism" to you?

Actually i think its more than 10 in ME3, they'll surely add say 2 more at the least. BUt even so i think there will be a good amount of content for each.

On what grounds?

The development time is about equal to ME2. So, why do you think we'll have twice the romance content?

On the grounds of that its my personal opinion. This is all opinions here. We all know next to nothing about the game yet.

You can still base your opinions on the information that has been gathered. All signs point to no.

So, I'll ask again, what are you basing that on?

lol Optomistic maybe, but I've been playing Bioware games for a long time. I know they'll do things right. Maybe not how we want them, but they will make it right. Just because one character is a favorite over others doesn't mean that they will get more show time.
And you look at how long it took a relationship to start in 1 and 2. Maybe 3-4 conversations. Not a big deal in my mind to achieve. "Ash I cheated on you with Tali. Tali I chose you." It's easy to do. Probably one of the easiest things Bioware can do is the relationship part.
I have faith that Bioware knows what their doing. Their good to their fans, but their not going to pander to everyones wants. They have a story and they will make it fun.

Casey said in one of his tweets there's be some new LIs means, more than 1. IMO it'll be two max, but we'll see.

Signs? What signs? they have said nothing about the romances yet(except that^). You're basing your opinion on what exactly? Im not basing it on anything, romances are one of the things BW do best, i simply believe they'll give us a good amount.

Um, what the hell? You understand the reason Garrus and Tali showed up in me2 was because they were fan favourites?

Those would be sucky relationships

lol Hey I'm not saying that Tali and Garus weren't added as per fan request, but it fit with the story.
And actually look at how many conversations it takes to start a romance. It is around 4 conversations. It's not hard to work in to the over all story. Not hard at all.
I don't have high expectations for Bioware. I know they will give us an awesome game. I expect nothing but a thrilling conclution to an epic trilogy. Seeing as LIs are secondary to the story, yet really popular, they will do what is right in the end. They could leave out the romance from the story and I wouldn't mind. Be kinda strange, but wouldn't mind.
In all honesty I'm sure the people at Bioware have had the story figured out from the get go. It's these subtle things that the fans want that they throw in just as an extra 'here ya go'

It's lung cancer, Zeelie, not brain.

All characters have at least a cameo if they survive, and the LIs will have at least a bit more, since the catfight, as they're calling it, is supposed to happen if your ME1 and ME2 LIs both survive.

Not the most important part of the game, no, but I'm looking forward to it. Romantic melodrama makes me lol like mad.

My first time I went through ME1 I didn't even realize you could romance the crew. Didn't think love would be a good factor in the equation when fighting mile high sentient machines bent on wiping out all galactic life. Also the romances in 2 I thought were better.

Most likely one girl who goes both ways and one guy who goes both ways.  That way they cover all their bases.
