David Shepard will live life with Tali in an effort to either restore Rannoch, or colonize the new homeworld (depending on the events of ME3). Legion can come too, if Geth/Quarian peace is achieved.

Keaton Shepard will retire to Earth with Ashley and start a family.

Xavier Shepard will continue to explore the galaxy and find adventure with Jack, as well as whoever else tags along.

Malcolm Shepard will take over Cerberus with Miranda and Jacob, continuing the fight for human dominance.

Viera Shepard will reside on Omega, forming a new band of vigilantes alongside Garrus, as well as whoever would like to come along.

Alera Shepard will retire to the Citadel with Liara, assuming the Shadow Broker duties are passed on (Feron?) and have plenty of little blue children.

Alkaira Shepard will settle down on Earth with Kaidan.

Katani Shepard will settle down on Earth with Jacob.

Alexia Shepard will wander the Galaxy with Joker, in search of the next grand adventure.

...I think that about covers it. Feel like I'm forgetting a few...

Well - you're either an earth worm, or an eagle.

So he'll try to become a farmer, but because the universe is at peace, a disgruntled Admiral - who will remain nameless, will become corrupt and decide to create his own private war.

He'll claim its because the price of freedom, is eternal vigilance or some such nonsense. So he'll get locked up. After that - I think Shep will probably pass away because he decided to board some alien vessel that falls on his head in the most inglorious killing off a game character ever.

There might also be a hinted at romance with Ginger Allen when that happens.

Vacation.

After that, she'll probably leave the Alliance and Council behind and become a privateer. She'll live outside Council control, become a face around Omega, and make a living on her wits, skill and damned good looks.

Thankfully she knows enough important people that she can find resources and sanctuary when necessary, and she'll probably go out of her way to strengthen those relationships even further. She'll spend some time helping Wrex get the remaining Krogan in line; work with supplying Tali and the Quarians with weapons or tech as its available. She'll keep an eye on Cerberus, if it still exists, and play the role of part time ally - when they're not giving into to their zealotry.

Mostly she'll make a life for herself as a neutral, mover and shaker, but stay out of direct involvement in *any* politics. And if the Alliance or Council ever call again ... she just won't answer the phone.

Edit: I use the term privateer loosely ... she's still human, so she'll serve human interests and give earth the right of first refusal to most of what she discovers, but she won't answer to anyone in the Alliance ... and if they try pushing her, she'll give 'em the bird.

Renegade Shep will continue to be an ass to everyone and eventually get a hit put out on him.....he gets shot in the head and dies.....but as we all know Shep doesnt die!! Some new and mysterious company brings him back to life only to have the mind of a three year old! unfortunatly he dies a month later....oowell

Paragon Spacer/War Hero Soldier Shepard travels the galaxy with Tali and company, looking for wrongs to right and asses to kick.

Renegade Earthborn/Ruthless Infiltrator FemShep retires to the apartment she won from the Pinnacle Station commander and raises lots of blue children with Liara.

Considering how little there is to do on that planet, I suspect there are going to be a LOT of little blue children.

Will continue living with Kaidan, probably will get married and have children. On the other hand, considering her family background, she might stay in the Alliance Military 'til the day she's no longer fit for active duty.

Well, that's something I'd like to think anyway.

It's hard to imagine my Shepard surviving ME3 to be honest. I think she'd want to retire somewhere in Kaiden, but I don't think she'd be ablet to sit still like that. So... I'm thinking she'll sacrafice herself to save the galaxy and break Kaiden's heart again.

After the Reapers ?  There will be a lot to do !

Arcian mentions that a power vacuum is likely to exist...as the established powers are severely weakened - if not destroyed.  In such a context...pirates, slavers, and roving bands of mercenaries will attempt to loot and pillage what they can. 

Will we get an entirely clean ending... with ALL Reapers destroyed....?  We'll see.  
Even if the Reapers are entirely destroyed... the Balance of Power will be disrupted..and smaller...formerly weaker species will be in more powerful positions - if they survived intact.  It will be a Sea of Chaos !

Shepard has always been about ACTION, so I don't see the Commander leaving the field anytime soon. 

I would expect that Shepard will always have to look over his / her shoulder for the Batarians !!!
Will the Batarians EVER forgive the destruction of the Bahak system? * 
I'd expect Shepard to be having to fend off Batarian Revenge Squads for the rest of her / his days....
....even if their population is 95 % reduced as a species ! 

* ( The only thing that might possibly change that...is if Shepard leads the fight to save the Batarian homeworld. )*

3. Proceed to kick a lot of ass with diplomacy fails
4. Maybe 40 or so years down the line, become heads of the N7 Dept or the Acension school
