Honor Shepard (Paragon, Soldier): In the immediate aftermath of the Reaper War, she helps piece together a shattered galaxy. Though she accepts an initial promotion to Alliance Captain, she refuses all other promotions and maintains her status as a Spectre, as well as keeping the Normandy as her personal ship.

(In the words of a great man- "Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them
do *anything* that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.")

After eight long years of rebuilding, the galaxy returns to something approaching stability, at which time she takes a two-year sabbatical back to Intai'sei with Liara. She considers a permanent retirement but ultimately rejects it, though she does manage to marry her asari sweetheart. She then resumes duty as a Spectre and Alliance Marine troubleshooter, where she remains for some time

She divides her time during this period between her job and raising her blue children with Liara. Some comment on the surprising ease with which she handles these responsibilities, but those who know her know that after jugglling multiple borderline psychopathic personalities while Commander, being a parent comes fairly naturally.

The crew scatters to the four winds, with Garrus alone remaining on as her permanent first officer. Though she often tells him he would be an enormously successful Spectre in his own right, his only reply is that he can't imagine pulling better assignments than the nearly impossible situations that Shepard routinely stumbles upon through happenstance.

Shepard finally retires at the age of eighty-seven, still undefeated in a firefight. It only takes three years before she finds this too boring and gains a seat on the council, where her voice carries great weight. Those inclined to question her in anything are reminded of infamous "Air Quotes" Velarn, whose name still carries significant stigma even so many years later.

After thirty more years of public service on the council, she finally gives way to true retirement, spending her twilight years in the care of Liara and their three daughters. She passes away at the age of one hundred fourty-six, having seen her three children into prosperous adulthood, and forged a peaceful galaxy over a century of effort.

Go back to the alliance, retire after ten more years, and start a mercenary guild that isn't crappy or heinous like the ones he fought when he was younger.
