I'm afraid all my Shepards are too duty-oriented to retire anywhere with children of any colour (and I'm not sure I want to be responsible for the first human-turian crossbreeds). Probably return to Alliance and start training future Shepards, teaching them the lessons she has learned during the past years, regarding alien co-operation, rule-bending and krogan headbutting.

I view Shepard the same way I view Odysseus. After all the action he's seen, he might think he wants a quiet life, but trying to live it will get old fast. So then it's off to commandeer the Normandy and stick his nose into things that are none of his business. Hopefully with Kaidan at his side.

After defeating the Reapers and visiting Virmire to honor the memory of Ashley, my Shep will marry Jacob on her home planet Earth. And they will have two or three children. Also she will continue to travel all over the galaxy. There is always something unknown out there. Just need to find it

My Shepard will take her Kaidan, take the Normandy and then search for a nice hideout out of reach of the council and the alliance. After finding a nice place, she will find spend a long time alone with Kaidan and I'm sure they will have some fun with each other ^^

If possible, she'll probably go back to working as a Spectre, preferably with Garrus at her side, and get to work at rebuilding whatever the Reapers tore apart. She's a woman of action, retirement is boring.

my first shep will live a sad life because after the romance with tali SHE GOT KILLED (first and only time a game made me cry)

my other sheps will ether be terrorists or do good deeds, possibly be elected council member or galactic dictator.

but my favorit shep will simply SERVE DRINKS because he is sick that no one belives him or hears him out even when he is a total goody.

Most of you seem to think the galaxy after the Reapers will be much like before, but thats very unlikely. The Reapers will wreck everything, every world and every person will bear the scars of the war and I honestly don't think anyone will be able to retire for at least a couple of decades, at least until a normal society is rebuilt, communications and transport reestablished galaxy wide and the rest of any husks or indroctinated people dealt with.

Everything will be in ruins, once council controled worlds abandoned or lost during the war will still have people, but thety will be led by chiedtains holding grudges against Shepard and the council for leaving them.

No, after the reapers are gone, it wont be a time of peace but of war. And my Shepard will be there, holding it all together. He will do his best to keep the tentative alliances between various races that he established during the war in place. I'd like to see him on the council, a new council that includes all the previous council races but also the krogan and maybe even the geth.

My Shepard must not die at the twisted tentacles of the reapers, or it's all been for nothing.
