Hey guys,

I was just wondering if in ME3 if Bioware would introduce limb specific damage where if you shoot a person in the foot they limp away or if you shoot their gun arm they try and it pick it up with their other arm. There are a ton of examples in other games (ex. Red Dead Redemption, COD: Black Ops, etc).

It has been confirmed that this will be more of a focus than in ME2. ME2 already had it to some extent with various enemies.

I'm hoping infiltrators get a bonus of some sort in this regard to differentiate them from the soldier and vanguard more.

From what we've seen in the videos so far, it seems to be the same as ME2.

It really was frustrating in ME2.

Yeah, you could shoot the arms and legs but...not only did they hardly do any damage - but they didn't drop their weapons, or they weren't kneeling on the ground for very long. Obvious exception are the mechs.

I would love to see them evolve this. Maybe require less shots (something like...one or 2 shots with a pistol) to shoot the gun out of their hands but do hardly any damage. Or you could go for the headshot and do a lot of damage w/ them still shooting profusely at you.

Agreed it would add another element to the combat system. Look at what it did for Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas!
