 So a lot of people are wondering whether we're going to end up with Virmire 2.0- a point where you have to choose a squaddie to leave behind/sacrifice. In ME1, you have to sacrifice one of two specific people. ME3, however, may be much more flexible if they put us in this situation again.

If given the option of all of your current squaddies- from ME1, ME2, and the new addition Vega- who would you choose to leave behind? Why?

For me, my top choices (as of now) are Kaidan, Grunt, and Liara. I didn't particularly care for Kaidan and Liara, and while I have an enormous soft spot for Grunt, unless we find out that he can have children, his future is limited and and at least he gets to go out in a blaze of glory.

At the bottom of the list are Garrus, Thane, and Legion, all for inherently selfish reasons except for Legion, who is my best connection to the main Geth body and therefore someone to be kept intact.

(apologies if this has been posted before; if so, I didn't catch it.)

Garrus, Legion and Mordin are choices that'll make me cry if I have to lose any of them.

I can't see my way around having Joker in a Virmire situation, though. He's a pilot and therefore much less likely to be, I dunno, lugging around the bomb.

If I have to sacrifice someone, Liara.
Seems to have left her Shadowbroker job, and has lived longer than everyone else on the team. She's had her fair shot at life already.

Do we not have enough topics hating on characters that we need another one encouraging people to say 'I hate them and they should die'? Or there's the old, "Hah, they're already dead, I nuked them/killed them on the SM!"

As for people on the bottom of my death list, I'd always save Garrus, Ashley, Jack and/or Joker over anyone else. Garrus would be first priority and I think I'd have to cry if I had to pick between the last three, since I like them all about equally.

People are going to talk about who they dislike/hate/want to DIAF anyways. Not everyone here does that, and there may be interesting RP reasons why they choose who they do.

Grunt, because he's one of the few who'd actually enjoy that. If he doesn't find a cure, Thane is also likely.

Vega is an unknown quantity, but if the footballer on steroids description I keep hearing is accurate, he'd likely place close to the bottom.

EDIT:Darn it, I forgot yet another squaddie. Added Jack. Middle of the list because I have invested time to calm her down and would hate to see that wasted.

After that... Hmm, I'm not really sure. Maybe I'd let Thane sacrifice himself, because if he's going to die, it should be in a blaze of glory, instead of sick in bed...

From last to be sacrificed to first:
Garrus, Liara, Ashley, Wrex, Legion, Tali, Thane, Kaidan, Jack, Grunt, Mordin, Kasumi, Zaeed, Samara, Miranda, Jacob, Morinth.

Garrus, Liara, and Ashley are my favorite characters so I would prefer they stay alive, simple as that. Wrex and Legion are awesome characters as well not to mention they could hold considerable influence (well Legion isn't a leader but it is still representative of the Geth) with their respective races.

The rest I didn't think about that much, just put them in the general order of which I like better. Morinth has yet to survive any of my games, Miranda/Jacob just aren't very interesting to me, and Samara is a fascinating character but I have no respect for her code.
