Seriously, no! Pint sized compared to Joker, but can deliver a gallon of laughs. Besides, she loves the sight of humans on there knees - considering that that's where you'd need to be at - eye - I mean, receptical, level.

Doesn't mean it needs to be a hot sexy body. Though I think it would be hysterical if she occasionally shifted to one when she thinks you're out of earshot of her and Joker. Then quickly shifts to a ball when you fully enter the cockpit and deny the whole thing.

Its a little goofy that every V.I. gets a body but EDI gets a globe. It was an exceedingly odd line for Cerberus to draw. I guess they must have blew their budget on the Leather seats and Fish tank.

Its an AI not a VI but I agree with you!

No way! "Miranda" would have more than Jack to deal with. She'd be more upset than Yvonne!!
Could you just imagine the fight?

It may have something to do with the fact that it's dangerous, or perceived as such, to further 'humanise' an AI system. VI generally just spit back entered information at you; AI have at least some degree of sentience and are able to actively learn, instead of just crunching information that an engineer or coder (or relevant program) feeds them. AI are able to process information and bring out a conclusion- VI can't.
So Cortana is dangerous?

<_< In the Mass Effect universe, they probably would have destroyed her, yes, from what little I know of Cortana. If she's an AI, she's verboten.

That was the point I was making, but I could have worded it clearer. That EDI (an AI) has a crappier interface than every run of the mill VI we've seen.

I get what you're saying, but EDI is probably one of, if not THE most advanced ship in the galaxy sporting weapons that can pierce the shields of a Dreadnought, shielding that can resist a direct hit from one, and the most up to date armor known to man. Nevermind that she's light and manuevarble.
She is plenty dangerous already.
...Well, unless she runs out of fuel, of course.

This! haha are AI able to love just as they are sentient?! That would make a good subplot (cliche thought).

If you've read any of the Halo books they ordinarily put AIs to rest after about seven years, because they become "rampant" and start going crazy at not being humans but being able to think. So if she (Cortana) isn't dangerous yet, then she will be in a few years acording to universe "lore," for what that's worth.

She's also shackled for the vast majority of the game, and it's only under the most dire circumstances in which she's freed.

Which has done nothing to stop her from being dangerous.

It stops her from being a threat unless the ship or crew are attacked. She can't go geth and turn against the humans. Yes, she has weapons. She also has extreme limitations under which they can be used.
ETA: Whoops, misread your statement. Yes, she's freed now, and probably not a threat. But she wasn't given one originally and there's really no reason to give her one now. I believe that part of her believeability and charm is that she isn't Cortana- she learns and grows while being a disco ball. It's part of how we view her. What would be the purpose of making her look like that woman people keep posting?
