Ok I am one of those @55holes that have all the (modern) platforms.  PS3, 360, wii, and a bad ass comp.  I played ME1 on the 360, ME2 on the Comp and was thinking of compleating the trifecta and pre-ordering ME3 on the PS3.  Does anyone know, or have any opinion on which platform would be optimal for this game?

PC would be optimal with PS3 following. I have all 3 platforms and a semi decent PC but I have all of my ME games on the 360 simply because that's where ME1 started. But that all depends on you. If you like modding and graphic superiority then which one would you chose?

I assume they would all be the same, however with 360 you can use kinect, but with PC you can mod. PS3 has no advantages over the other two

I have a pretty old PC (Nvidia 7600. AGP. Yeah.) that runs ME2 like a champ and a 360. I would absolutley never buy a game I'm serious about on anything but PC, with the exception of those with online-only always DRM. I don't really know why. Maybe it's the fact that my one friend who only plays a 360 is obsessed with pew-pew COD and GOW and hates PC. Perhaps he turns me against it.

I've played it on the 360 all the way through mostly for the import aspects. Go with PS3 just to show you're not biased for or against any platform. ;P

I don't own a gaming PC but the PC elitists seem to think its the bee's knees, so that might be the best bet, especially when you consider importing. No idea why you'd go PS3 and lose that opportunity.

PC.
You can mod it. Bugs that occur can be fixed at your leisure, rather than EA/Sony/MS. Higher res/better graphics. Better control system.

Everyone here knows PC is superior. If you don't know why, that's your own fault.

I'll be getting the PS3 version. My 360 died long ago and I can't afford a new one, nor a new PC.

It all depends on how they make it. If the PC version is a console port instead of the consoles getting a pc port, get a console version. Then its what matters to you more. Do you care more about having control over every little thing in ME1, and won't mind having multiple discs for ME3(XBox 360 version), or would you rather fell more immersed in the game by not having to switch discs(PS3). I would rather get the game for PS3, but unless you also get ME2 for PS3 first, you should just stick with PC so that you can import.

If your PC can play it, PC.

I played ME1 on 360 and then ME2 on PC when they were released, but recently bought ME2 on 360 so I can have a save game all the way back from ME1.

I slightly prefer the PC's mods, but my computer isn't as great as it used to be and my 360 is more reliable.

Whichever platform has your savegames, obviously. If you don't care about that, then PC because it's simply superior in the amount of control you have over the software.

People who played both console and PC almost always prefer the feel on console. If you started on 360, why not finish on 360? PC though, as said, you can mod, take good screenshots and use the flycam.

First I've ever heard such a notion. I've played both and it's vastly better with mouse and keyboard, in my opinion. Not to mention all the other obvious advantages of the PC.

I like the PC but then, I was never a console player and my Shep would probably shoot himself in the foot if I had to control him via gamepad :).

Can you transfer saves between platforms? If not, you should definitely stick with what you used before.

Yeah, the aiming and fluid use of squad/Shepard powers with the hotkeys is far better on the PC than what I've experienced in the PS3 version.
