Also, the article is a bit misleading. Preston Watamaniuk (did I spell that right?) has always been associated with Mass Effect. He's a lead designer on the entire game, Christina was just lead gameplay (i.e. she had no executive input to things like art, animation, cinematics, story, etc.)

It doesn't matter. Gameplay for ME3's probably been set for a while now.

Edit: I mean it doesn't matter for ME3. I agree that it's a loss for Bio.

NO!

She was awesome! She helped give the series a shot in the arm in gameplay. She had that blog where she asked for fan feedback on weapons and explained gameplay mechanics.

...

...I liked her.

Hopefully Obsidian. God knows they could use a gameplay designer. :D

Alright, alright, I'm going, I'm going.

There is absolutely no need to lock this thread. Out of all the threads that get generated this is much more worthy and definately deserves its own thread. It's a big pity, ME2, whad awesome gameplay, and the gameplay was her baby. Huge loss IMO.

Shame. I really liked her, and she engaged with the fanbase a fair bit pre-ME2.

ME2 was seriously fun. Here's hoping that ME3 not only carries that torch, but runs with it into some really fresh territory.

Christina did get married - and moved away from Edmonton with her husband, according to Chris Priestly. Hopefully, she'll be back at making games some day
