Well Shepard does have a gun and spacehip that came fire from orbit, so I'd say your bet would be a safe one.KotorEffect3 wrote...
Hmm I think the real quesiton in this thread that needs to be asked is who would win in a 3 way battle between Commander Shepard, the Warden, and Hawke. My money is on Commander Shepard.

I suppose to make this thread more of a debate I should ask how is one Universe superior to the other?
That's easy.
Dragon Age is superior to ME because it has ... DRAGONS!
Notice how they make no mention of dragons in "Mass Effect" ?

I've been a big fan of Bioware games for many years. Loved what they did with KOTOR. Now as they released DA and ME in quick sucession of each other I can't decide which has the better set up (PC, NPC, Villians, Storyline..etc).
I've done more ME playthoughs than DA and I curious as to what the next installment of ME will be, but there is always something that holds my interest with DA.
I'm interested in what other people think.
I'd be hard pressed to choose. The ME universe combines pretty much everything I liked about Babylon 5, Space: Above and Beyond, Aliens and Revelation Space, so it's a close first place.
The DA universe did the same with the Tolkein and Forgotten Realms settings. But I generally prefer sci-fi to fantasy, so I guess that's a personal thing.

I liked them both, but since DA2 sucked I will have to say the ME universe is better.
DA2 doesn't suck it is just dissapointing. I think one reason I prefer the ME universe right now is because both ME 1 and ME 2 have been building up to ME 3. We still have alot to find out about the reapers and we have to figure out how we are going to beat them.

I want to see Wrex fight the Arishock
That would be hilarious. In this video instead of the player doing a Benny Hill run from Arishock, insert the Qunari running from Wrex.

Edit: I just want to add that this isn't really a fair comparison. ME and DA are completely different games, and while I like DA, I can't help but feel bias towards a series where my decisions impact the overall storyline. Now I understand that most of ME 1's decisions were reflected in e-mails, but a lot of DA:O decisions were simply overturned, nullified, and voided (sometimes intentional, sometimes due to "bugs"). I think the former is preferable, and I believe that ME3 will show us the results of some of our past actions in greater detail. I'll be sad when this story is over...

Dragon Age has richer and more relevant/interesting lore, while Mass Effect has a more exciting and involved plot.
btw As far as enigmatic figures with mysterious motives go, Flemeth pwns the Illusive Man. That is a fact.

That is only because we have a fairly good idea of what TIM's agenda is (human dominance, lust for power, etc...) With Flemeth we don't know what her overall agenda is, we hear all these scary things about her but when we actualy interact with her she is always quite helpful, I know her help isn't exactly altruistic but still she is quite helpful and is never threatening toward the Warden or Hawke. That said TIM has more style.
