This just about sums up the video: it isn't a balanced critique- it's just playing Devil's advocate. Every single point just seemed to be nitpicking. Valid points perhaps, but ultimately trivial ones.
Still entertaining mind. Those video game "journalists" crack me up.

You mean another FAILURE from smudboy?
Every single thing he said there is either wrong or explained but he did poor job in finding every info.
Also no mention of News Report trailer, S/S romances and FemShep in marketing.
Smudboy's attitude is once again pompous, ignorant, and frankly I don't think that we as a community should accept and praise these characteristics any more.

I just don't know how you stab someone with a hologram...is it to scare them to death or something like that?
Guess you never saw any Star Trek episodes where the saftey protocols got turned off.
Its a new idea for the series so I understand concern with it how it works and from a gameplay perspective. However its been done in sci-fi countless times before so I struggle to see why its so difficult to comprehend (Lightsabers, Rimmer hologram on Red Dwarf, the Doctors mobile emitter, ect)
Also I'd like to add Tech Armor, Combat Drone and shield that Shadow Broker used.
Nobody complained about those.

His life is in shambles, so he devoted all of his rage and unlimited amount of time on bashing ME.

Why do people pay attention to him?
I know many people who agree with Smudboy's position but use reasonable arguments, instead, so I am guessing that people just follow and watch his videos because that's what the want to hear.

I have attempted to explain to him on some of erroneous points and all he could come up with was baseless accusations and mockery.
He acts like a moderate but in truth he's a troll.

Even if it is somewhat hard to find a dev's explanation for it (Check @patsquinade on Twitter), it requires nothing more than simple logic to realize that: a) The omni-tools must, by design, have solid parts,

Oh yes, DA2 had such a superior with its lyrium lightsaber that causes giant statues you alive or the blatant use of blood magic, even though one of the character who says he doesn't do it does it anyway. Or how about the blatant use of cameos in the third act, with no mention why they are important.Barquiel wrote...
Well, Bioware marketing. I wouldn't take it too seriouslyI remember the Dragon Age: Origins marketing with its ridiculously awful ad campaign, but I love the game.

This is the same guy who gives praises to DA2 story, but belittles ME story. Epic fail.
ME2 it is so much more polished and detailed...but story-wise, ME2 is worse than DA2 (imo).

Omni-tools of course differ, but we know that for them to project haptic interfaces, physical components are needed. Not to menion wireless extranet connection.
Now, we know that other more specialized omni-tools have other uses as well:
- Storing and processing data
- Acting as flashlights
- Producing drones
- Acting as video cameras
- Acting as a RUVIS source.
Personally, this is a suggested model which I like:

Credits to Tilarta.
Since the omni-blade causes damage, it has to be one of the physical parts.
This is proof that the omni-blade makes sense.

And I believe that this is the official explanation:
"A monomolecular blade suspended by a mass effect field"
I can find a source.

I know "Maker preserve us..." Leliana clearly must have a point. Morrigan was wrong. The Maker does exist enough for Leliana to wreck continuity.
And that's a nice explanation, but those colours are awful.

But if he does buy it....?

Anyways in reply to Chewin3, (quote doesn't work) I define troll as "one who posts a deliberately provocative message with the intention of causing disruption and argument."
His so-called argument has been refuted countless times as he constantly acts like his OPINIONS are actual facts. He states his opinion and then instantly explains his misunderstanding as a fault of Bioware and not of himself. Also a moderate will raise CONCERNS based on opinions and leave room to change. Smudboy has not done that.

Is the SB shield really based on omni-tool technolodgy? I always thought that it was a shield made of transparent material with haptic interface projectors as well.Mesina2 wrote...

Not really, just that franchise had very little if not anything new to offer with each game.
Then again Mass Effect 3 taking blades?
Big whoopdy doo, I'm pretty sure there are other games before Halo that done that.
While I agree with that, I'm almost certain that I've never seen/heard of an energy blade like that in another game. Prove me wrong though.
