The videos are quite entertaining, even though I don't agree with his views.

Is the SB shield really based on omni-tool technolodgy? I always thought that it was a shield made of transparent material with haptic interface projectors as well.

It looks like it's made from Omni-tool to me.

I stopped watching when he complained about the omni blade not doing any damage. Did he forget that the game isn't being released for 8 months?

At least I could understand where he was coming from in his ME2 vidoes, but that was just ridiculous.

Well, it's connected to his omni-tool, so I'd imagine that it is.

It is? I always remember there only being the shield, no sign of the omnl-tool.

I think you made a comment that not even Sims do all that stuff smudboy proposed.

Smud's ME2 redesign would have made an awful video game.  I know there is the crowd who immediately installs the "must eat, drink and sleep" mods for Morrowind but as a whole, his changes would have made the game pretty unplayable.

Yeah, but I think that people misunderstood him. He is trying to say that, if you present something, something that it appears to make damage, freeze, burn... You make a preview of this gadget showing what it does, we only see that it uhmm scares the enemy. He is saying that they show things that look like "oh my god a saber with chritsmas lights".

As someone who largely agreed with his initial critique of ME2's writing, I agree. While I thought the guy had a couple of decent ideas when it came to plot and characters, other concepts ranged between convoluted  and unworkable.

Wait so what happened with the whole mass of iron, Antarctica, The Clash album etc?
Will any of these play a part in Mass Effect 3?

I like Smudboy's videos because they raise good questions. I don't often agree with his answers to those questions though. But the questions themselves, they're worth discussing. He seems to have a very circumscribed idea of what is and what is not quality entertainment, and I could never get behind such a rigid viewpoint. But there are some issues with some of the games he's talked about that I also find disconcerting, and though I probably would resolve those issues differently from his suggested fixes, it's good that he discusses them and throws out ideas for solutions. Too bad those discussions come too late to actually do anything about the games in question though.

What BioWare needs is their own internal "devil's advocate" who rips apart the writing during the development process, so the writers at least have the opportunity to have an "oh yeah, that doesn't make sense" moment—and fix it before it's put into the games.

I'm guessing this is one of those "throwing messages in bottles into a churning sea made entirely out of messages in a bottles" kinda guy. Never heard of him before this thread.

Bit vinegar pissy; it needs a bit of humor to offset it like a certain other reviewer does.

You're 2 months longer then me on BSN and you don't know about him?

I met him like in few days and was a big dick to me and soon enough I find out he was like that to everyone who disagrees with him.

Seems like it. Not that it changes much. It's probably just transparent material which is 'unfolded' (like all of the weapons in the MEverse, and it is attached to the Omni-tool.

He praised DA2 story?

You almost made me watch his DA2 plot analysis.

I just watch some of it....I can only go 3 minties before he states something so blunly incorrect that I want to beam him on the head. 2 min , if you count his comment about Gamblin being you cusion when he clearly is you uncle.....Also, how can anyone not understand flemith is not in the amulet?

I'm affraid that if that person will be Smudboy, then he'll get kicked in the head in like two seconds of working process.
The problem is that it's actually very hard to make a perfect story, where everything is explained,  logical and without contradictions. I doubt that nitpicking and complaining could help to make a good story.

How can you not like the omni-blade?
Anyways while the tendensy Silverman has to be "super duper awesome-guy" i don't really see a problem with the marketing thus far, they don't talk down to you, they speak in manor that shows they are excited about bringing this game to us, and they seem to understand what aspects of the game most people like, as for the game itself, i am still suffering fom DA2 skepsis.
