No, I'm saying his opinion is not the holy grail you try so hard to portray it as. Not to mention that even Patrick's posts does say the decisioin came down to time constraints. Keep trying Ryazki

Actually no his post saysit was decided to resources and the dialogue not fitting.

But keep trying though.

I've learned not to believe devs word about anything unless it's from a main director or something.

Which would make the resources guy equally not worth listening to.

Frankly I'm of the mind they decided not to do it because they didn't want to. Full stop. No "oh the dialogue doesn't fit!" (that's just an excuse) or anything else. They just didn't want to. And frankly that was there perogative. It's their game.

The sheer hypocrisy of having a full fledged f/f (Juhani was bugged so that her romance was sometimes available to males) but not m/m wasn't really gonna go unnoticed though. I don't know why they thought it would.

Riiight. Because I'm on some vendetta to get Joker as the m/m option. :pinched: Do grow up.

I already did. Unlike you, I don't waste my time trying to prove Joker was, is and always should be straight (borrowing arguments from people I disagree with) as if it was somehow suppoused to increase Kaidan's chances. :)

Anyway, all the different accounts state one thing clear. Kaidan and Ashley were not s/s romance option in ME1 because there was no time to do it right (right as in not half-asses copy+paste).

For me I say for me, if it will be romance gay and bi I saw that :

Jack for women (she tall have a relation gay in mass effect 2)
Kelly (She like relation gay in mass effect 2)
Joker for male and female (for this moment we don't know her preference maybe women I don't know)

And other Kaidan/Ashley, Miranda, Garus, Tali... hetero for me but I don't decide it's Bioware.

I hope the devs are writting good romance fan the fans

Like I said by all means.

Regardless for all romance options I want Shepard to initate the romance. I really don't want to run into another Tali trap. That's rage inducing. It's not fun to have to turn someone down when I'm trying to be friendly with them. Doing that in RL is bad enough don't want it in my video games. Anyone who has a crush on Shepard need to have that romance track put in a way that Shepard can only reach it by hitting on the LI first (with a clear "I am gonna hit on you" dialgoue choice). With viable friendship paths (Like the DA series) instead of ignoring me for the rest of the game.

Because Kaidan is awesome, a full equal and gay Shep had no LI since 2007. My Shep has a crush on Kaidan in ME1 and 2. You can fight against it, Bioware cuts it again, I'll just hack my save file and be happy. Kaidan marries the Savior of the Galaxy, who's still a virgin because he had no romance experience at all and they lived happily ever after. ~~

No gay Kaidan in my Mass Effect 3 please!

Seriously, if they're going to make Kaidan bisexual then they should also give us the option to stay straight buddies with each other, WITHOUT any awkward moments where Kaidan expresses his gay feelings for my male Shepard. Seriously, I do NOT want that in my Mass Effect 3 playthrough where Kaiden is still alive! No gay tensions between my Shep and Kaidan plz!

I wouldn't mind bi-Kaidan as long as it's not the same as Anders in DA2. I have no problems with same sex romances, but I rather have Kaidan as my ''bro'' rather than have him try and hit on me, because I went too Paragon on him.

So you'll also have problem with gay tensions and hitting from Vega (or whever the new guy will be)?

BTW, you do know Kaidan thinks Shep is straight right? So if he didn't hit on Shep in ME1 because of that, he won't hit on Shep in ME3 either, unless you give him a reason to change his assumotion on your Shep's sexuality, like saying for example "Yo Kai-Kai! Nice ass!".

Saying "Hi, 'sup Kaidan" should be different from the obvious "I WANT TO SUCK FACE WITH YOU KAIDAN," as it has been (sort of) in the past.

The fans do have some infulence. Like I said in another thread, if you don't like the topic, you don't have to post.

Yeah that sort of is the problem.

"Hey Ash! Let's talk about your dad!"

*Ash jumps into Shep's arms*

"Wait...what?"

Poor ninjamanced Shep. :( It was better in ME2 but I got the f*** off! Treatement from Jack a few times by stumbling into her romance.

If the choice says NO BW it should mean NO. not "Nah...oh wait yeah I'm totally interested!" <- renegade no when turning down Jack for some reason is a damn trap. My expression was pretty much "FUUUUUUUUU" when I realized that and then turned her down just to be told to F*** off. <_<

Well since Vega is new I wouldn't mind it if he showed gay feelings towards my male Shepard. I'd just tell him that I'm straight and that I'm already settled with Liara. But Kaidan is my bro since ME1 and I want him to stay my bro without any awkward moments. The very idea that my bro Kaidan could have a crush on my Shepard just makes me feel awkward and unpleasant inside.

At first I was against a s/s Kaiden option. It just felt like retconing and an invitation to poor writing. I still don't think BW should do it...however if BW can "sell" it right; write up a good reason why Kaiden now also likes men (not just "I was always bi, why didn't you ask sooner Shep ?") than I'm ok with it.

Just please, please, pretty please BW -not another Anders moment in ME3, m'kay ?

So you're implying you won't become bros with Vega because he might have romantic feelings for you? And that you weren't friends why Ashley, Tali, Jack and Miranda because you know they had a crush on you?

Turning down someone of the same sex should be the same as turning down someone who is of opposite sex.  My manshep had to turn both Tali and Jack down.

When it comes to turning people down and people being uncomfortable with being it on, it's a number of factors. Gender is one of them.

Anders hitting on Malehawk simply came out of the blue. That was the issue. In Awakenings he showed no interest *at all* for his own sex. So in DA2 he's bi. Ok...but why ? There was no explanation he just was different than the Anders in Awakening.

I'd like BW to do better in ME3 if they decide to make Kaidan available for s/s.

And some people don't like turning down anyone. It's awkward. My Shep felt awkward with Tali and Jack afterwards (and Tali's dossier....yeah), just being friends at that point would've had that awkwardness for a while if it ever went away. That should be negated as much as possible with player only initated romances. It's not realistic but most things in this game aren't.

Eh female characters have to put up with unwanted flirting as is,  I think males should have their turn.
