Just had the conversation with Isolde, Teagan gave me the ring . . . Can I leave, go do some other things, and return? Or are there consequences?
Sorry if this has been covered already. I know I'm late to the party.

As far as I know, the only repercussions come if you leave Redcliffe before the zombie attack. Since you're past that, you should be able to leave and come back when you like.

You can leave and come back whenever. Have you gone through the rest of the castle? There's more undead to fight further in. Save first, because some of those fights are tough.

I'd just enter the windmill and finish the questline off. You don't have too much more to do, and you'll have to leave Redcliffe then anyway.
