For some reason I envisage that Tali's face will only be seen in some kind of heart-wrenching death scene.

Yes I agree with rip504 and think it makes sense from an in game POV that we should see her faceand like the idea of the flashbacek to when shepard first saw her unmasked. Also I think if they are not going to show her face then they should not have made her a romance option and that they messed up not showing her face in the romance scence but letting shepard see it. And also i dont know if i'm alone on this but i feel that if we just see any random quarian it just wont have the same impact as seeing my squadmate for 2 games face. And also screw the mystery angle I don't like master cheif because i can't see his face it's because of his actions I think he is cool the same with tali and I hate loose ends this is what it will feel like I want to see what shepard and bioware sees. I personally believe that they can do this they haven't let me down yet.

I feel like Bioware blew their best chance for us to see a quarian face. Shepard is the player's avatar in the game. If we don't see Tali's face the first time Shep does, than that creates a disconnect between the player and Shep. There is no -better- time to unveil something like that than when Shep first sees it, and we didn't get to see her when that happened.

As such, although I'd genuinely like to see her face, I feel like any reveal at this point will further cheapen what already felt like a cop-out in ME2. Honestly, Taliface (or lack thereof) was one of the only really serious gripes I had about ME2. But my feeling now is that the ship has sailed. I'm totally neutral about it.

My thoughts exactly. Since we didn't see her face in the love scene, this is pretty much the only option that is left, or at least the only one I can think of. Would be incredibly heart-wrenching, but so very BioWare.

Nah, everyone has a different mental image. Sometimes your imagination is better then what Bioware can ever produce. What will be great for some wont be for others and they will be left really disappointed.

Its a situation Bioware cant win really as lots of people undoubtedly want to see her unmasked. I just don't think its needed and I think this aura of mystery surrounding Quarians facial features should remain.

This kind of attitude, honestly, drives me a bit nuts.  The whole "your imagination is better!" thing doesn't resonate with me, because I didn't create this world, I don't consider anything I "imagine" to be real in any meaningful way.  I'm -exploring- the world Bioware has created, and I would prefer to see what quarians -actually- look like in that context than sit here and think "Oooh, what if it was like this?"

It has been said in a Game Informer video interview that the design team was "working on" the design of the quarians' physical features. I believe the art director did say that, in part due to Tali's popularity, they wanted to get the looks down just right, so fans of Mass Effect would finally get to see the mysterious quarians. Considering it has been confirmed that Rannoch will be visited in ME3, I imagine we'll be seeing quite a few quarians sans masks. Maybe Kal'Reegor looks just like Adam Baldwin. Maybe the geth will build him a mud statue and sing songs about his heroics. We'll see in ME3.

She should assemble the entire crew together and let them know she is going to take off her mask...and then when she finally takes it off you realize she has another mask under her outer mask.

I think Rannoch would be the best place for Tali to go helmet off. I did gasp and go what! That's not fair! When they didnt' show Tali's face I was in that moment looking forward to seeing her back then just seeing her with the helmet on but the visor off would've worked but now I'm thinking helmet off so we can see truly what she looks like sense shep oddly knows this info and those who romanced her don't.

I imagine sense Rannoch will have far more cities then people to settle in them that Tali should get an apartment there maybe as a thankyou for her helping get Rannoch back if you peacefully negotiate it. If I had to write a vague scene for it it would be at night in her large apartment space shep and crew decide to stay the night sense they arrived so late and she finds shep overlooking the city only partially lit up in a ghostly type of manor she approaches gains his attention he turns around and she's in a prewar traditional Quarian outfit thats nice and with no helmet.

We then move from a CG cutscene to dialogue players can speak with her and also ask about why she's suit free she can claim anything really but I'd say she'd most likely say she's full filling a dream to walk suit free on her homeworld and despite the risk the original Quarians came from here she can think of no better place to remove her helmet then Rannoch and only come up with a slight fever she'll also states that she took 2xs the doses of herbs she did when she was first with shep so she's reasonably sure she'll be able to be like this for a few hours and wind up no worse then she did last time she was suit free.

As for the whole Tali's face should only be revealed in death is a dumb concept one I can only imagine talihaters would want and love to see. If Tali dies, she dies but that's not the time to leave the lasting impression of her face to first time viewers.

No way, i like tali, but revealing her face will definitely disappoint many people, there is a massive fan base behind tali and there is no way BW can please all of them, if there is a reveal there will be tons of hating on the forums

Yes.

And I hope her face is just a organic version of her mask. That would be worth it.

Show us her face. It isn't that much of a big deal. Or at least another quarian.

The best developers don't give a f*ck about their fanbase. Wel sure, as a developer you should care a about your fanbase but to some extent. When developers no longer have the guts to make difficult design decisions because it might ****** off a part of their fanbase you know it has gone too far.

I'm sure BioWare has a plan for the quarians and if that includes revealing Tali's face then they should do it, no matter what those obsessed talimancers think.

well if they reveal her face they might as well show the rest. Personally I would be very glad if Tali got some sort of formal sari like Clothes because her current outfit without the suit is yust a hood a skirt short enough to shows her ass and crotch and some shirt that covers her arms but not her boobs... Not exactly tasteful

Mass Effect can't be completed without removing the mystery. It's too big.

Guys, a poll has been made already

And as of right now, the results are telling.

There are a near equal number of people who don't want the face shown as there are people who want to see her face and it be somewhat alien.
But, in total, there are more than double the number of people who want to see her face than those who don't.
The problem is that those people are split between those who want it to be a human analogue, those who want it to be alien-ish like the Drell, and those who want it to be completely alien, like the Turians, Krogan or Salarians. I'm split between the last two. I want her face to be shown, but I won't it to be alien. I don't care how alien, I just know that I won't like it very much if she takes off her mask and its another human asari looking back at me.
It won't stop me from liking Tali, but the face would loose a bit of respect in my eyes.

Yeah I agree with the people that say it should be optional. BioWare is smart enough to make that possible. At the moment, I personally would rather keep it a mystery, but I would like to see another Quarian.

There is no such thing as "optional" in this case. If I choose not to see her face I'm still gonna see her face because some charming little rascal on the internet will make sure to post it somewhere where I can't miss it.

Just keep her damn face hidden. She's more unique that way.

Do you really think you can keep something like that secret ? Soon or later everybody will see it.

I see what your saying, and those [explicative]'s would not be true ME fans, but BioWare can't do anything about that.
