A Very Stupid Weapon-Swap question

Forgive me if this question makes me an idiot. I couldn't find a straight answer elsewhere.

I'm playing a rogue and as such, I am constantly shifting back-and-forth between duel wield daggers and my bow.

Pulling up the inventory screen every time I want to switch has gotten really old. And makes me really, REALLY miss the "weapon-set swap" button from DA:O.

Is there such a button for DA2, and I'm just too stupid to find it, or do I just need to suck it up and swap the slow way?

There is no "weapon-set swap" in DA2.

It's not a stupid question, it's stupid that they didn't implement weapon or gear swapping in the game.  If you play on PC, there is a mod here: http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=2482

There is no weapon swap button but, are you playing on console or PC? Because there's a mod on the nexus that adds a weapon swap button. Hope that helps. :)

Edit: Sorry. Someone already said that. Opps. :pinched:

I just resigned myself to having my rogue be melee or ranged. It is just absurd that you can't equip a bow on any character anytime. So they suck at it? Big deal! Even a 5% chance of hitting is better than being unable to equip the weapan and instead have to run up to an enemy rather than shoot at them to draw them to you. I view this as a stereotypical cross platform game mechanics simplification that really takes away from the true value of a PC gaming experience. It obviously isn't even that hard to implement, even on a console therefore this is even more mind boggling a decision. Catering to the laziest and the lowest common denominator.

its sad that the decision was purposefully made with an incredibility ignorant statement as to why it was left out. btw, it is 1 man who responsible for it not being in the game.

There's no weapon swap because they essentially railroad you into playing one "style" in DA2. To some that may be a bad thing. For me, I honestly dont care either way.

For me, this becomes annoying when you face enemies with elemental immunities (almost everyone has it on nightmare). Constantly having to jump to inventiry to equip a proper elemental staff does become extremly tedious after a while.

Try doing the Gamlen's greatest treasure quest without weapon swap. The dog's are immune to fire, the crooks are immune to cold. Annoying as hell.

And people wonder why I dont play on Nightmare anymore lol.  ^Instances like this are precisely why I only play on Normal now.  Not saying others should follow suit or anything just saying that because of the fact that every enemy and their dog (pun intended) has major resistances on Nightmare, it tends to make things....well....annoying due to the current system set up.

Much like my previous post;  It seems like the way things are set up now, it seems you are being railroaded almost into only using one weapon and/or one style of play.
