Hm, that was Quentyn's death wasn't it? What was the other part "When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves"?

Yes, Quentyn ~ the sun setting in the east.

Seas go dry ~ speculated to be drought in the Dorthraki Sea (grassland) that forces the khalasars to unite under Dany

Mountains blown in the wind ~ unknown, it could refer to Gregor Clegane, the pyramids that the dragons collapsed to use as nests, the dragons melting stone in Westeros...?

I think the stallion that mounts the world, Dany's son, is Drogon.

Here's a neat prophecy, too, from Dany's vision in the House of the Undying:  "Her silver was trotting through the grass, to a darkling stream beneath a sea of stars. A corpse stood at the prow of a ship, eyes bright on his dead face, gray lips smiling sadly. A blue flower grew from a ****** in a wall of ice, and filled the air with sweetness...mother of dragons...bride of death..."  A prophecy about Dany being a bride three times.  The first is definitely Khal Drogo, the second I think will be Victarion Greyjoy Image IPB, and third Jon/ Azor Ahai who will be revealed to be the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.  Lyanna's favorite flower were blue winter roses.

Addai, she's been a bride twice so far . . . Drogo and Hizdahr (yes, I know how forgettable Hizdahr is, but he counts) . . . .

I'm still wondering how Greyscale fits into everything. The whole prophecy with the pale mare and Val freaking out about Shireen, plus Connington makes me think something big is definitely going to happen with regards to that.

Yea, I've been wondering about that, Brock.

The whole "Shireen has greyscale, poor kid" thing's been mentioned every time we see her, but Val is the first one - including Aegon and Conningtion, Duck, etc - who had a "OMG she has GREYSCALE!!!!" reaction.

And I cant help but wonder why . . . .

I'm guessing GRRM is keeping Greyscale in his back pocket as a narrative get out of jail free card.

"Crap! I'm 2000 pages into Winds of WInter and have no clue where I'm going with this.

*light bulb goes on over head*

"Greyscale plague, everybody dies. THE END"

Greyscale plague is definitely in the cards. It's not just Shireen- you remember Tyrion encountering the calcified zombies in the bay on his way to (not) meet Daenerys.  And Jon Connington having the disease as he comes to Westeros can't be an accident.

I love the Queen of Thorns too.    I'm hoping they get Maggie Smith for her.

Maggie Smith is in Downtown Abbey, right? Considering the actors for Jorah and Ygritte are also both in Downtown Abbey, I guess they might be able to schedule it.

I wonder who Baelish will support in the bid for the crown. There are 3 main factions who been spared the war so far, or have suffered quite little. These are Dorne, The Reach ( though they did suffer some casualties and the Ironborn are invading them ) and the Vale. We know Dorne will likely support Aegon and Daenerys but I wonder who Baelish will help.

I wonder...is he in league with Varys?

You think Dorne will side with Dany, should she ever come to Westeros? Especially after she completely screwed over Quentyn and blew up Doran's plan? I 'd be more willing to bet that the Dornish end up being total enemies of Dany given what happened with Quentyn and they'll side with Aegon.

I just don't see Doran being very sympathetic towards Dany after having her blow off the previous marriage contract they sort of had between Viserys and Arianne. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if that blows up big time in Dany's face. Dornish Red Wedding for Dany? I could see it.

As for who Baelish will side with...he'll side with Baelish, of course.

I should have said the Targaryens. I think Dorne will march for Aegon, since he is the one currently in the seven Kingdoms and not Dany. I don't think Dany and Aegon will end up foes.

Frankly I don't think Doran will be that pissed about Daenerys refusing to marry his child, he is a calculating cautios man. Though he won't like that he died.

Agreed as to Dany . . . if there was no Aegon, she might still be okay, given how Dorne and all the Martells feel about Lannisters.  But they now have an alternative, and they'll take him over Dany any day.

As to Littlefinger . . . . I think he's quite happy where he is.  Who will he support?  Whoever is willing to let him keep the Vale . . and Sansa.

Oh, I'm not so sure he is.....

But even if he were, she'd be getting married under a false name, under coercion, etc. Surely that could be undone . . . unless whoever was in charge made a deal with Littlefinger.

Who would make a deal with him, though? I'm pretty sure just about anyone with any power dislikes, if not actively hates, him.

Harrold Hardyng, the next in line as heir to the Vale should Robert die. The deal is done already.

As Baelish puts it: "When Robert dies, Harry the Heir becomes Lord Harrold, Defender of the Vale and Lord of the Eyrie. Jon Arryn's bannermen will never love me, nor our silly, shaking Robert, but they will love their Young Falcon... and when they come together for his wedding, and you come out... clad in a maiden's cloak of white and grey with a direwolf emblazoned on the back... why, every knight in the Vale will pledge his sword to win you back your birthright. So those are your gifts from me, my sweet Sansa... Harry, the Eyrie, and Winterfell."

My main concern so far is, frankly Dany isn't fit to rule. And I suspect she'll either keep the East, or will Support Aegon as the rightful ruler. Of course there is still the whole issue on the Iron Islands in reguards to her, not too mention half the East wanting her dead. I suspect Aegon might actully take the West. Bolton I'm pretty sure is lying about taking Stannis out, though I think with the various things going on he won't live long.

I do wonder if Jon Survived and if the Wild people will turn on the Crows or not...nevermind both sides picked a ****** poor time to kill the commander, what with the Ice Monsters about to come knocking on the wall.

And in reguards to the current conversation I wonder what Little Fingers gameplan is. I suspect he'll want to be some sort of an adviosr or what not. But he's being too helpful. Well least if he's not expecting anything.

Have to wonder what he´ll do when Rickon resurfaces (I think we can discard Bran from the Stark succession line).

She has asked to be let out of her Downton Abbey contract.  :wizard:
