I think A Dance with Dragons finally comes out in paperback format later this year.

Eh I already bought the hardcover.
So I have 4 paperbacks and 1 hardcover on my shelf. Looks kinda funky.

Feast is where there's a lot of walking. And feasting. And crows.
Good thing I like talking. I could read a whole book about a conversation between Tyrion and 'x' POV char. It's when there's battles that I get confused.

Still hate her because she's far too emotional -- understandably so -- but her chapters are enjoyable to read.

Thats interesting because I already have ADWD on paperback on my shelf. It's staring at me with that 'get a move on' look.

Exactly like he said- she wasn't trained and groomed to rule, because of this she crumbles under pressure.
More like she's more suited to a life of prostitution than being queen.
Cersei is one of those characters "I love to hate."

No, she crumbles because her reach exceeds her grasp. You don't have to be groomed to rule in order to understand not to do some of the stupid things she has done in search of power (like reinstating the church militants, getting an exiled Maester to perform necromancy, trying to frame Margery with the man she had been sleeping with) and it serves her right that those have come back to bite her in the ass. She's capable of being manipulative and even when she's acting humbled at the end of DoD, it's just an act.LPPrince wrote...

Nah, she's just stupid and has a bad concept of history.LPPrince wrote...
If you aren't trained and groomed to rule, you're either going to reach for more than you can grasp or you won't reach far enough.
Hence my point.

I like battles all right (although they can get too grand in scope and make for heavy reading without adding much, especially with Martin's focus on heraldry), and I like conversations all right, but in general, things need to happen to keep my interest.simfamSP wrote...

The second "Dune" book is basically conversations, and it bored me to tears.

Am I the only person that thinks the valonquar that will kill Cersei will be Jaime?
No, no. You're not the only one who caught on to the fact that Jaime can technically count as Cersei's little brother.
