How is it different? It's not in the game as far as I know, and I'd rather it not be. As I said, characters have taken enough hits, this just another blow that I think can be avoided. By the way, the other hits I mention have nothing to do with their sexuality.


If it IS in the game, though, I will be disappointed, but will have to accept it as what it is. Who knows? I might grow to like it.

And I respect that you would be willing to give it a chance. That's more than most people would.

I absolutely agree with this oppinion.  It seems horribly predatory to me.

TexasToast is right you know, you're fanatics, it's as simple as that. You can't be reasoned with, you aren't interested in compromise, you dismiss anybody who doesn't cave to your demands as "homophobes", even if a character had a "straight" sign around their neck you would say "their sexuality isn't established", you think Bioware owes you gay content, and you're downright obsessed with these romances in a video game.

Owes us? HAHAHAHAHA. Its already going to be in the game. Get over it. Did you see these arguments plastered all over the forums before bioware made the announcement? No? Well then maybe it's people like you who are obsessed. You guys can't leave the topic alone, even after it's been declared a done deal. You have to ****** and moan about how bioware is catering to someone other than you.

I refuse to "compromise" with bigotry and ignorance. I refuse to "reason' with someone who isn't reasonable. The fact that you are more concerned with being called a homophobe than the possibility that you might actually be one shows that something is very wrong with you.

I'd rather have a quick death through violence over what could be an extend allergic reaction that could take days to take it's course, just saying...

I absolutely agree with this oppinion.  It seems horribly predatory to me.

And yet, I'm not advocating that they take out the Tali romance in ME3, or even that the Tali romance is a retcon, or a bad idea, or any of that. It's an option I don't care for, and an option my Shepard's don't explore. Some people role play Shepard as loving Tali so much that he only has the best intentions, and some I'm sure just want to hit that. Hey, more power to them, they're role playing unique Shepards, and my Shepard just got that much more unique by comparison.

You OP are going about this all wrong. Here is what you need to do:

Start a thread and label it thusly...

♂♀ --- For the Love of Consistency: Keeping Established Characters in Character --- ♥♫

In the OP, state in bold type that the thread is specifically for discussing why YOU believe adding the option to existing character would ruin it for you. State the opposing viewpoints are not welcome in this particular thread, and point them ever so eloquently to other threads with folks that do want it.

Just a little suggestion, that way we all can take a break from all of these redundant threads on both sides.

Carry on with your bickering.
