We'll all still happily kill anything that moves though, and if you can up the violence factor, well, that's just gravy.

Truth of the matter is that having homosexual content in games boosts bioware sales and is good PR for the company,

Who says they are the minority? I'm not into dudes, but do I feel it is kinda messed up how I can fall in love, "cheat", fall in love with the other person, cheat on them with Liara and then fall back in love with her, whearas as a homosexual Shep dances around akwardly hoping some charming fellow would notice him for the past 3 years.

Thread summary: BioWare, please handle romance with kid gloves, it's a very, very, VERY sensitive issue, and it needs to be handled just so. Tread lightly!

Yeah, I don't mind going to strip clubs, using profanity, blowing folks up, setting them on fire,punching defensless reporters and animals, killing 300,000 people, but when it comes to gays, that's where I cross the line!

This way no one gets all offended and these endless cyclical arguments can cease.

Why not just have an option at the beginning of your game/playthrough to allow S/S relationships or not? That way if you hate it - it won't come up in your game. If you like it - the options will be available.

Because as good as that sound, it would essentially be a "turn off the gay" switch.

Because it is akin to say I don't want "these kinds of people" in my games, which is sincerly fawked up. Hell, while your at it just add I don't want a interacial switch too.

Yup.
My sexuality should not be a toggle so as not to offend the delicate sensibilities of the homophobes.
I can guarantee that there would never be a toggle to turn off heterosexual relationships. It's not realistic and doesn't make sense. Heterosexuals exist. Homosexuals and bisexuals also exist. Deal with it.

This is more like oversensitvity;
Bioware: There is the option for those who wish to persuse a gay romance in ME3
Ignorant folks: They took our straight! It'll change everything!, my butt already hurtz!
