Apparently you are, because I'm not against gay romance. I'm against gay romance if it is written in a way that destroys the character, which is a concern that is totally backed up by previous romances written by the Bioware, erm, writers.

You should read more, though. If you don't like interesting books, you can always read previously locked "Anti S/S romances" and see what the mods think about it, what BW devs think about it.

Many of you say "But Tali and Garrus were made into LIs! Why can't we have homosexual romances?". While that is a decent argument, you're forgetting that Garrus and Tali's romances were done horrendously, and damaged their characters to some degree. Now, I'm not a fan of ruining characters for the cries of a fanbase, and if this s/s business is what will cause that, then I'm fully against it. We already can't trust the writers to handle a heterosexual romance, how can we trust them to handle a homosexual one?

I'll be annoyed if they do conveniently reveal a character sexuality like of say Garrus just happened to become Bi because....well...ummm.
I wouldn't mind if say Jack was available to female Shepard's because she herself (Jack) said that she had slept with women.
So yeah if it stretches believability then I don't want it but I'm fine with S/S romances if it makes sense.

I read books, ok? I love sci-fi. Asimov's foundation series. I'm not blind. I'm not anti-gay. I'm just trying to make a decent thread where I don't get accused of hating gay people for doubting the work that the Bioware writers will bring out. I FULLY SUPPORT GAY ROMANCE IF IT HAS NO NEGATIVE BACKLASH ON THE CHARACTERS IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER. The problem here is that it WILL, as evidenced by the work of the writers on the romances of Mass Effect 2. Sure, we can hope that they won't, but do you really want to take a risk like that?

Wasn't BW clear enough about these types of threads? That's one of the reasons why I am not narrow-minded... I can abstract info in a better way, it seems.
