Don't you just hate how finding out someone is gay just completely ruins their personality?  I mean, once you know their sexual orientation, it's like they are a completely different person.  No doubt everything they ever told you was lies.

That's not the point. You're the one being narrowminded. I'd be fine if the gay content is content that I'd never see at all, but if the CHARACTER initiates the discussion or tries to come onto the player, then that is content that some people are uncomfortable with. It doesn't matter if you are comfortable with it. Some people just don't want to see a character they admire ask Shepard out on an s/s date, especially this late in the trilogy.

If Shepard initiates it though, if Shepard is the one to pursue the s/s romance and the character never speaks of his or her gay sexuality outside of conversations in which Shepard asks about it, then I would be much less hard pressed to reject s/s romance. It's content people just aren't comfortable with.

It's times like these that I wonder if anything would be different if Asari looked like males.

But aside from that, I don't want gay content appearing outside of any interaction in which Shepard doesn't initiate the content.

Don't worry. Kaidan won't get naked in front of you. And I don't romance characters only because of their bodies. Of course, womanly curves are what attracts me the most... But characters that don't show prejudice against something they've never experienced and characters that are willing to accept, even without understanding, are my fav types of romances.

Sorry if it upsets you, but constantly bringing this topic won't change the game nor the way the characters were written.

Okay, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that what OP means is that s/he wants the romances to be written well. Having Garrus walk up to Shepard and say, "Hey, I'm bisexual." would seem out of character. Having it quietly come up in conversation if he thinks Male Shepard is interested is more in character.

If this is the case, I honestly don't see the problem. I'd worry about that with any romance subplot, regardless of gender.

If it isn't...well, this post will probably get swept up in the tidal wave that is this thread anyway.

I think due to conflicting opinions, hot tempers, and the fact that this is a hot button issue, there should just be two threads. One that's for it in any capacity, and one that is against it in any capacity.
