I haven't done a formal count, except for DA:O (110 hours or so), but Morrowind absolutely, definitely qualifies for me. I played it 3-4 hours a day, 6 days a week, for a year...and didn't finish it.

World of Warcraft -- At 111 days 12 hours over 7 years -- Not really bad if you think about it. There are people who have that many for each character, and have multiple level 85's's.

crazy WOW players.
I quit it after a couple years of playing.
Its just down right boring after that.
1 year of PVP another year of raiding...well more 6 month of raiding....very boring....very tedious....then world pvp died and I quit.

That's honestly probably it, sadly enough. As for the MMO's I've played... it's pretty disgusting.

I played MapleStory when I was about 12, until about 14/15... easily broke 100 hours there. I'm sure I had well over that number, what with all of that grinding I used to do. I'll never grind levels like that again. Ugh. >_<

World of Warcraft and a massive time commitment? LOL, that doesn't even describe it. I can't get exact numbers (there was a /played command that would tell you the exact number) due to having quit a long time ago, but I played that game basically every day for several hours a day over a few years. So yeah, 100+ hours? Lmao, try at least 150 DAYS... and most likely much more on my main character, because I honestly don't remember but I have a feeling it was more than 150. Although I did do a ton of AFK-ing in major cities, I did a TON of raiding, instance groups, talking on Ventrilo, and mindlessly running around major cities out of boredom.

That doesn't even count my various alts that I'd play for a few weeks then get bored of.

Sickening, I know. xD

OK, there are a couple but it is all single player and I probably missed a few:

Dragon Age Origins: Should be about 100 hours and change with 2 completed cars and 2 others started
Morrowind: probably about 200 hours with 2 Characters
Oblivion: ~150 hours with one really completionist character and a couple of others with lot's of mods
Gothic 1: 5+ playthroughs
Gothic 2 + add-on: 5+ playthroughs
Gothic 3: 2 playthroughs
Ultima IX Ascension: 5+ playthroughs
Half Life series: 5+ playthroughs + HL1 stand alone add-ons (would be more but I am waiting for Black Mesa for the next run)
Star Trek TNG: A final Unity: probably 8+ playthroughs

Ok, now it gets a little crazy
Mass Effect 1: 13+ playthroughs (all completionist but no idea about hours)
Mass Effect 2: Well, thing is, I ordered the collectors edition but because I was moving continents at the time of release and it got sent to the old place I had to wait about 2 and 1/2 weeks. However, I didn't want to wait so I bought a second copy on steam. My steam profile says I played just that copy (which I used just for 3 weeks) for 265 hours. I guess you can easily double that number by now, so yeah ... don't really know how that happened .

Mad Ice asked me about BF2... is it Battlefield 2?  First Person Shooters make me dizzy and stomach sick. BF 1942 was one true exception somehow. Loved MPlayer on Moongamers servers! (anti-cheat, pure fun, always full and really cool admins!)

you're playing the same character for that many hours? How does that work? They have quest content that lasts 3000+ hours?

or is it mostly fighting other people?

I clock WELL over 100 hours in most of the games I play. I've played over 7780 hours (over the last 6 years) in Guild Wars. I've racked up at least 400 hours in Dragon Age Origins, and about 300+ hours in Mass Effect 2. And even with just casual "hour or 2" play sessions, I've already managed to accumulate about 138 hours in Left 4 Dead 2.

Sounds to me like an overheating problem - might want to check and see that all the cooling fans in your computer are working.

Only games that have a playtime counter can specific times be confirmed. Those that I do know I have spent over a hundred hours on are: Mass Effect (over a dozen characters); Dragon Age: Origins (ditto); Mass Effect 2 (ditto); Dragon Age 2; Disgaea for the PS2 with over 700 hours registered on it. DA is the game I have spent the most time on probably (including dlcs and whatnot).

Plus I'm sure there are other games though those tend not to register playing times. Ah...misspent youth.
