World of Warcraft and a massive time commitment? LOL, that doesn't even describe it. I can't get exact numbers (there was a /played command that would tell you the exact number) due to having quit a long time ago, but I played that game basically every day for several hours a day over a few years. So yeah, 100+ hours? Lmao, try at least 150 DAYS... and most likely much more on my main character, because I honestly don't remember but I have a feeling it was more than 150. Although I did do a ton of AFK-ing in major cities, I did a TON of raiding, instance groups, talking on Ventrilo, and mindlessly running around major cities out of boredom.

That doesn't even count my various alts that I'd play for a few weeks then get bored of.

Sickening, I know. xD

I'm having trouble understanding this...

you're playing the same character for that many hours? How does that work? They have quest content that lasts 3000+ hours?

or is it mostly fighting other people?

Remember, World of Warcraft is an MMO, which means endless amounts of enemies (mobs with AI) to kill. Some of the time was spent questing my way up to the level cap, and then a lot of it was spent teaming up with players around the country (and other countries, actually) to take down enemies that weren't possible to kill alone. Some of that was done in a small group of 5 players, and some of it was spent with 10 or 25 players in a raid (more complex and difficult instanced dungeons). Instanced content can be completed again and again (with a daily or weekly limit), and seeing as how I was a healer, I was very often needed to keep the other players alive as they tanked or attacked the enemies and bosses.

WoW does have PvP, but not much of my time was spent killing other players. I'm not very competitive, or even aggressive, for that matter--I mostly left players of the opposite faction alone. I wasn't even on a PvP server until the very end of my WoW career.

Interesting - I've never played any MMOs before, but I would be willing to try a demo of TOR. I have no idea how MMOs work.

World of Warcraft
Final Fantasy VII to X
Mass Effect

Not many. Partly because I've played the above games to death, but also because these days it's a rareity as I get games quicker than I can play through them once. The Witcher and Dragon Age games will no doubt get added to that list before long.

In one run? If you mean repeats I can name alot, but in one run.

Saints Row 2, GTA:VC, Oblivion, some Japanese RPG...don't remember the name however, but the fastest time the game was finished in was 80 hours. Super MArio 64, as I assed around, Goldeneye 64, pretty much every RTS I had in Skirmish/SP mod at least (total times not one match) Half-life 1-2. Your recent Zelda games from OoT too TP, minus WW. Kinda wished I didn't sell my GC with all of those on it, but meh hadn't played with it in about two years. And lastly Star Wars Tie fighter (with expansions). I so want a remake of that game.

Other Mentions though not at 100 hours are still past 50 is. FF7, FF8, FF10, KOTOR, Jade Empire. A few others escape me atm.

Contra (NES) - I'm guessing here, but that game rocked and turned us all into zombies as kids.

Castlevania (NES)

Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest (NES) - Some parts of that game were so random, there were alot of wasted hours.

Rampage (NES) - It takes forever to beat and the ending sucked sooo hard.

Ikari Warriors (NES) - I might of played it 100 hours with friends, I just remember the Nintendo overheating and the game freezing.

Phantasy Star 2 (Genesis) - A great JRPG, it got me addicted to them for awhile.

Golden Axe 1,2 & 3(Genesis) - Great co-op action with friends.

Shining Force 1 & 2 (Genesis)

Guardian Heros (Saturn) - One of the best action co-op games I've played.

Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1)

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1)

Diablo 1 (PC)

Starcraft (PC)

Descent Freespace 1 & 2 (PC)

Baldur's Gate 1, 2 & Expansions (PC)

Icewind Dale 1 & Expansion (PC)

NWN 1 & Expansions (PC)

World of Warcraft (PC) - I'm ashamed to admit this!

The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind (PC)

Knights of the Old Republic (PC)

Fallout 3 (PC)

Dragon Age: Origins (PC)

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim (PC) - Unless it just brings on the suck completely, I can see myself playing this for at least 100 hours.

It's about a Korean Guy who settles into Los Santos to help create a formula for a new nuclear that causes less spread on impact, but it ends up being too powerful on direct impact, and it creates a 50 mile deep crater out in the desert near san andreas. You are trying to remain hidden in Vice City afterwards because the company gets in trouble with their superiors and are told to get rid of you.

Dragon Age Origins
ME1
ME2
Final Fantasy 7 (clock stopped at 99:99 on that, or something, but I played years after it capped out on me, on that save :P)
Final Fantasy 10: Pushing 200+ on my main file, iirc
KotOR
Morrowind: Kateri's Julan, Ashlander Companion mod made all the difference here. Even moreso than graphics overhauls and other stuff. The story she wrote on that was amazing. ES games always seem to be lacking real LIs, this really filled that hole and wove it into the Main Quest with aplomb.
Crystalis: Old NES game. Played and replayed and replayed some more. To death.
The Magic of Scheherazade: Another old NES game. Again, replayed to death.
Dragon Quest 5: The SNES version. Yeah. DS remake was okay, but lost some of it's darkness in the overly lulzy way they tend to localize it for the West. Yes, I'm aware it's somewhat 'punny' in Japan, too, but still.
Various versions of Pokemon. Mostly Blue, Crystal, and Diamond.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Suikoden III

100 hours?

I know I have been playing Dungeon Master 21 years (still cant beat that last Dragon level! LOL), Frontier for about 18 years (travelled from one end of a Galaxy to the other), UFO: Enemy Unknown about 16 years (my guys are so good now they dont carry weapons anymore, instead they just get the aliens to fight one another!), Cannon Fodder about the same (this game drives me nuts at times!), Doom 13 years (was late to this because I played it on the Amiga) and as far as modern stuff goes, certainty over 140 hours on each of the Mass Effects, completed NWN 1, BG 1&2 a couple of times so that must add up to well over a 100 hours for them. Also lost count of Deus Ex re-plays. I really need to get out more! :D

Y'know thinking back to some of these games, I wish I could forget them as I would love to play them again without knowing the ending. Prime examples (for me) of this are Deus Ex and System Shock 2. This is why I envy younger gamers. They are experiencing great games for the very first time. Enjoy them!
