Now Liara or Leliana? Leliana, liara i only liked because she was kinda nice and it was funny when she would say somthing stupid. Leliana is a much more thought out character, shes sweet but comes from a dark past and is all deppressed (unless shes with my PC)

No to Ashley. GOD NO. She's got a lazy eye and a chip on her shoulder. I can't stand her.
At least Morrigan doesn't try talking to me about her religious beliefs and poetry.

Uh, Claudia Black isn't doing a British accent, she's just talking the same as always. It's an Australian accent, probably altered a bit by her time in New Zealand and the USA.
Incorrect. She has a "Down Under" accent, though it is slightly Anglified, granted.
I lived in Australia during my childhood and I still think Claudia Black sounds more like someone from the Home Counties than Australia. I've read something about her grandmother considering that the proper way to speak and as a result having her speak that way.

Ashley was annoying at best.

On the other hand, Morrigan is a cold, manipulative b****, who shook my sense of right and wrong to its core.
Therefore, I vote Shale. No competition. At all. None.

Morrigan was also a very well written character. She is a cynical, self serving, and power hungry. She despises weakness, she is mistrusting, and very isolated. She is a very broken woman. Who throughout the story can come to care deeply for the warden. Something that challenges her world view, and frightens her.
Maybe I am reading a bit much into it, I don’t know. Bioware just seems to have a knack for developing great characters, Sten, Aton, Liara, Leiliana, HK47. Really to many to list. As for Ash or Morrigan. I think both are a credit to Biowares ability to create believable characters. If I had to choose I guess its Ash.

Leliana as well, how irritating can a character be.
Come to think of it I wish there was an option to romance a normal person, not a sneaky witch thief, and not a nut job who has seemingly dedicated her life to invisible tyrants hiding in the clouds.
Normal person.

I did like Liara, just because I'm a sucker for innocent/shy girls.
Didn't care for Ashley 'cuz I don't like girls who act tough like men.
I like Leliana as well because she was girly.

Because this is the no spoilers forum I have to be vague, but when Ashley committed a certain act on a certain beach planet on my first playthrough, I began to hate her. On all of my playthroughs from then on, I ignored Ashley completely, and despised her.

PM me what you mean, I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about... If you're talking about something other than what I'm think about, then damnit I have to play ME again! Must... Do... Everything...

I'd say that Morrigan is a better character, but Ashley is a better person.

If you liked him so much you should have gotten his armor for him like a true bro.

She's suspecious and cautious towards aliens. So is most of humanity. You guys forget that humanity has only been a member of the galactic society for a few decades. Humans don't trust aliens, aliens don't trust humans. Her reactions and views is normal for one who doesn't know the unknown (people fear/hate/distrust things they don't know). In my opinion she always gets along quite well with the other aliens on the Normandy. Ashley is very loyal and is the reason why she does what she MAY do on Virmire (her job is to protect the interest of Earth Alliance, ergo protecting Shepard).
Morrigan is also a well-written character. Actually I think she has more depth than Ashley. Claudia Black is awesome. She's been brought up by a woman who has given her 'tough love' and it reflects on her actions and views shown throughout the game. She's a cynical individual that hates authority or people telling her what she can and can't do (unless you're bedding her... ;P )
T'Soni... I never really liked. Besides being less physically attractive than Ashley (who isn't my type either) she was also very dull personality-wise. The writers should've done a better with a love interest, especially one who seems to be more important for the overall story plot of the trilology than the other two. Hopefully we'll see an improvement in both ME2 and ME3.
Lelianna. Well, she's cute though she's also very deceptive. She didn't get the same amount of depth as Morrigan but still more than Ashley. I romanced her in my first playthrough and she came off as a likeable person... though her almost zealous obsession with her faith was undesireable for my tastes.
Tali is the enigma here. We don't know much about her, though what we know of her makes her likeable (unless you're a Geth-lover). She's a bit naive, yet not as much as T'Soni and seem to be far more sociable than her as well (Well, guess all quarians are, considering they don't have any private life on the Flotilla)
Miranda is the cold, calculating perfectionist. She dislikes recklessness, inefficiency and incompetence. I sense she has a more charismatic side, but we'll find out when we get the game.
Subject Zero AKA Jack is the ultra-violent punk of the ME universe. Unpredictable, reckless and highly unstable. It's hinted at that there's a little fragile girl hidden behind all that anger. Will be interesting to see who she really is.
