No you dont get it..please critique movies or film or characters even in a game..I came to this particular thread because i thought that was what most people were going to do..looking back though i find its sad how many people are not on that level..how many people are not saying 'Wow morgana's dialog options are great' or 'wow the voice actor did a great job with such and such' Rather there saying, 'wow..hehe...shes hot' *face palm*
As for my mom.. shes all yours..55 years old and lives in Alaska and single no less..
Characters are designed to evoke a response in the player. They are part of a story which is hopefully well written and is designed to suspend the player's disbelief. We're discussing which ones successfully are interesting or not. People sometimes just sum that up with saying "a character is hot" ect.
Do you honestly think people have some sort of shrine in their basement to these characters?
So it's just a basic misunderstanding I guess. You were taking a jab at the critique of several people on characters because they didn't fullfill your deffinition of a good, descriptive critique. Then you didn't explain why you thought your misunderstanding was sad, assuming their motives were due to some nerdy obsession dealing with character fandom. Water under the bridge. But just don't assume people's motives and label them one way or the other.
Either way, it's the internet, who cares about the opinion of anyone on the internet?
And as regards to your offer, nothing against your mom, but no thank you.

All good points although my mom will be a bit sad at the news
Sadly enough though there are people that are deparved enough to have said shrine in said basement. I cant tell you how many mmorgp games ive played and had people walk up to my toon..say 'Hi' then say, 'Wow your hot'

Ashley is pretty generic in comparison.

Ummmm... which part is she from? Manchester or London?
Yah... I saw Farscape. She was the one with the British accent, right?
No we don't sound like American's think... we also do not sound like the British!
Cute accent, though.
Morrigan all the way...

Speaking of Claudia Black and Farscape... I'd absolutely to see a DA:O character voiced acted by and looking like Gigi Edgley. Now that would be very cool to see. I could easily have seen her being used for Leliana, actually, but it'd be interesting to see her as a new character down the road.

Well, she is the daughter of a famous Television executive who owns his own production company... the industry says this is why the no-talent piece of wood gets any roles at all!
Sorry, but she is *awful*
She gets her roles because of daddy. In Farscape she had two expressions she had to do... and even then she was about as emotionally convincing as a Vulcan!
She is now proving why family is thicker than contracts in that crap rescue show.

Ashley also was a bigot when it came to aliens... which was a huge turn off.
Ashley's not a bigot. She simply doesn't trust the Council, and alien governments in general, and her logic behind this distrust is perfectly reasonable.
As to the original question, I'd have to go with Morrigan. Constant side-boob + scheming villainess = I'm turned on.

Ouch. Harsh!
while I don't think I really liked the Chiana character, I still kinda think the actress did well enough in portraying that weird alien.
Can't really comment on the 'crap rescue show', as I haven't seen it (cheesy title tho': 'rescue special ops', right?)

Who cares about Farscape anyway, Lexx was/is much better. Farscape really went down the crapper during it's fourth season.

I liked Farscape all the way 'til PKW (even the comics...I guess I really am a fan). Granted some bits of the 4th season could've been better, but, IMHO, it had some pretty strong and memorable episodes.Spaghetti_Ninja wrote...

Lexx I liked 'til the end of the 2nd season (Brigadoom was awesome). I didn't like the 3rd season so much, and I didn't even bother to finish the 4th season. *shrugs*
I was sorely disappointed when they replaced Eva Habermann, and never got over that.
If there's anything I think Lexx got better than other sci-fi shows: a catchy song!
That and the scale of Lexx was pretty much insane (Legend of the Galactic Heroes had hundreds of thousands of ships, many near a kilometer long, but they didn't destroy a Universe

Oh god yes!
It's so good to see another LEXX fan! What a quirky original show that was, and unlike so many shows it truly had a fantastic ending. I recently got the entire series on dvd.
Farscape... meh, I never liked it even a little bit.

Uh, Claudia Black isn't doing a British accent, she's just talking the same as always. It's an Australian accent, probably altered a bit by her time in New Zealand and the USA.
Incorrect. She has a "Down Under" accent, though it is slightly Anglified, granted.
Not so. Australian though she is, I would say she fully went pommy for this role. Her normal accent in that video is strikingly distinct from the one she adopted for the game. She managed to neutralise those Australian dipthongs quite well.
I'd pick Morrigan, but she very much could have used much longer hair and more piercing eyes.

While the "Long beautiful flowing hair" we've seen on some mods looks great, Morrigan lived in a forest all her life. Long hair isn't exactly practical to that kind of lifestyle.

I'm a fan now (I got into it late...waaay after PKW), but when it was being shown on TV I didn't pay it much attention. I thought: "What is this? Another space show weird aliens? Weird..." (I think Andromeda was also being shown at the time...)
Of course, I kinda regret that now...tho' I'm a bit thankful that I got into it late so I didn't have to wait for stuff like PKW and the complete series DVD box.
On topic:
Methinks Morrigan would've looked better if she resembled the voice actress more (I mean, they're doing that w/ Yvonne Strahovski's character in ME2, right?)...
