Her avatar's been around for a while, but just seeing it today and Meleficent flashed in my mind. Now I've been away from the story of Sleeping Beauty for a long while, but I'm wondering if anyone thinks there may be similarities between both characters.

Hmm...horn-hair, turns into a dragon amidst roaring flames, seductive voice...there are some parallels, yes. But Maleficent is missing the flattering armor, and Flemeth is missing the raven.
Perhaps all of those burning Darkspawn were named "Phillip."

Actually now you mention it yes. Although I think Flemeth is far more complex than any Disney character I can think of. The dragon thing for sure and the cackling absolutely. Although Flemeth is far more dangerous than Maleficent, Mal had small goals... Flemeth thinks big.
