Incorrect Sir.

Kirrahe and his men ran out of the blast radius on foot and were then picked up by the Normandy.

If you don't believe me I invite you to replay the mission.  Kirrahe says that he and his men will "attempt to escape the blast radius on foot" when he outlines their battleplans and they are in the process of doing so while Shepard is duking it out with Saren.

Just imagine the amount of idiots shouting "RETCON!" if Wrex survived.

Very true.

But compared to Shepard's brain somehow surviving planetary re-entry sufficiently intact for Cerberus to piece him back together with his personality and memories intact, the likelyhood of Tyrannosaurus Wrex surviving a glancing blow from a nuclear blast doesn't seem that far fetched.

I still wonder why we got a rather dull and boring Grunt instead of Wrex in ME2. C'mon BW, give us a proper Krogan, give us Wrex!

I liked Grunt when judged only by his own merits; but when compared to Wrex he was a weak character.

Grunt is basically just a Krogan which as a fan of the species I find entertaining unto itself; but Wrex was a Krogan who challenged your preconceptions about what makes a Krogan.

Grunt had the Krogan badassery and love of battle going for him in the
same way that Wrex did; but Wrex also had a jaded cynicism and dry wit
as well as a conflicting sense of loyalty and fatalism in regards to his
own race which made him both charming and deep in a way that Grunt
couldn't be.

Grunt is nieve to the extreme while Wrex has hundreds of years of experience at his disposal which makes you look past the fact that he's a hulking battle hungry space lizard and discover that he's actually one of the wisest characters you meet in the game who despite being a jaded mercenary still wants to believe that there's a hope for his people.

Agreed. And that's exactly why I absolutely love Wrex. I also assumed he was just a boring, reckless brute at first, but when I actually started talking to him I was utterly surprized about his personality and couldn't get enough of his stories and dialogues. I was utterly disappointed when I realized he wasn't supposed to be a squadmate in ME2 even though it felt good to see him, at least.

Grunt on the other hand, well, he's not completely dislikable; he's a Krogan after all, but he's by any means no substitute for Wrex. Whoever decided not to include Wrex in ME2 as a squadmate should be fired. Worst decision ever made.

I hope he's a Squadmate for story reasons. NOT for fanservice.

Sorry, no Wrex for you.

Garrus and Tali could die too and they re still is going to be in ME3.

Wrex is one of the most remarkable characters in the ME universe. What was the reason behind the decision to not include him in ME2, anyway?

So is either Kaidan or Ashley and yet they're both implemented in the game and an important part of the story.

I don't - I hope Wrex is the king of all Krogan, leading his people to a huge Krogan Renaissance that uplifts his species out and away from: "Silly sci-fi warrior race trope."

I do want to see him on the battlefield during some cut screens tearing the Reapers a new one with his Krogan military though.

I can see it now:

"Shepard and the team land on Tuchanka and make their way to the front lines. Shepard dashes up under bombardment and gunfire to take position next to Wrex behind a stone fascade."

Shepard: Wrex

Wrex: Shepard. I thought you'd miss the fight.

Shepard: Miss watching you tear that Reaper apart with your bear hands?

Wrex: *grins wickedly* You're not a human Shepard... you know that? You're pure Krogan.

Shepard: I'll take that as a compliment.

*the two break cover and charge the front lines of Husks, Cerberus soldiers and Heretic Geth... in the background looms a massive Reaper*

So you would prefer: Liara/Tali/Jack/Miranda "Oh Shepard, you make me quiver."?

Honestly - if you're looking for depth of character, you should try books first, movies second, and video games dead last (it doesn't have to be this way, but the video game genre is still young)

I think Wrex's plot point of uniting the krogan clans is a clue to his appearance in ME3 my guess is that he is the leader of the krogan army in the fight against the reapers.

A true king of the krogans leads by example. The krogan won't follow some wuss who just sits on his concrete throne while Shepard fights for him in the front line. A krogan leader needs to fight where the fighting is hardest, wich is beside Wrex old friend Shepard.

And as usual fanservice sell (deal with it) even if it may not be what some personaly prefer so I think there is money for BioWare in a returning Wrex.

And if you failed to keep Wrex alive in ME1, well tough for you.

I doubt that figure.

I'd say he survived in the vast majority of games that were imported from ME1 and in the PS3 version you can just straight up choose whether he lives or not.

Although why Bioware decided to have him dead by default for anyone who started fresh in ME2 is beyond me.

And to me it seems like you may choose to have him alive in a new ME3 game so the potential dead Wrex doesn't realy leaves any potential buyer out of potential content.

Just throw in a persuasion check to get Urdnot Wreav to believe as Wrex would have and BAM! Krogan squaddie that fills in perfectly.

His voice recording has already started like Garrus and unlike Mordin. I'm not sure if early recording equals a lot of lines, but here's hoping.

Personnaly I assume Wrex' plot is well done bringing him in a positin of "krogan king" and can be well writen in the end. May be the next game will be about Wrex jr. lol?
