Why didn't Garrus and his team take down Aria?

I would think the only reason Garrus may have never showed interest in taking her down is because she runs all of Omega. If he killed her then Omega would be in Chaos economically. Or something.

Pretty much this.royceclemens wrote...
Plus taking her out would mean creating a power vaccuum that would wind up causing more bloodshed than Garrus would be trying to prevent.

Does she have a private army too?
Seriously, if someone wanted to take out Aria that badly what's stopping them from blowing up Afterlife? Sooner or later somebody has to succeed.

Garrus didn't wipe out Aria because he never had a chance to get around to it. I'd bet she orchestrated most of what happened to his crew. She is not a nice lady, she was two moves ahead.

Aria is a smart lady who knows everything that happens on that station. She likely knows that once Garrus did run out of the more seedy targets, he and his squad would have came for her. She likely leaked enough info to wipe out his crew and Garrus only survived through luck and skill.

I dont think so, those merc bands were gonna go after aria next. Why the hell would she pitt her enemies against Garrus?

Agree. This coupled with the one wide-spread "rule" of Omega that Aria is such a passionate proponent of, and I can see why Archangel would hesitate in taking her on.

I'm not sure i understand what you are asking. She would pit them against each other so that it was easier to clean up what was left. Garrus was as much a threat to her and any of the merc bands. It is only fan supposition that thinks Garrus was every going to exclude Aria as one of his targets. He wasn't exactly rational, he was full bore vigilante.
Aria pitted everyone against each other, and once it was over, she'd send in her troops to clean up what was left. It isn't like she was a good person, or really cared who won, just that they were easier to kill or take over once the leadership was dead.

It seems that she has a huge private army (read the third book)

I think its far more advantageous to have garrus take care of the mercs than to give the mercs a tip to kill garrus. The mercs were gonna kill aria. I just dont see the connection where Garrus would want to take out Aria and vice versa. The merc bands seem to be the common enemy here, it would make far more sense for them to team up against them.
