They finally fixed this? Too bad I won't be downloading the patch because of all the gameplay changes... eh... maybe if I buy DA3 I'll patch the game so I can make a canon run. Good news I guess.

More on topic: I have no idea since the damned Architect is alive in every playthrough and I've only heard Nathaniel say one dialogue... I have no idea why the Wardens would want Darkspawn allies though... If the Architect had been killed, why would they then try to team up with the leftover, leaderless talking Darkspawn? Guess we'll find out later. Maybe it'll make sense.

I guess it got fixed for him. When I played it under 1.03, I still got the reference to sparing the Architect when I didn't. Image IPB

I was surprised because the developers made it seem that it was still a problem, and clearly it still is for some people. I didn't use a savegame from the prior patches, but created a new savegame after downloading the latest patch. Maybe that played a role in Nathaniel acknowledging that Anders didn't die from being left at Vigil's Keep and that the Architect was killed. Nathaniel acknowledged the Architect being killed, but still made mention of "allies" he wouldn't clarify in his dialogue. Whether these 'allies' are the remaining Disciples of the Architect (perhaps lead by the Messenger who is mentioned by the Architect in his notes) or another group remains to be seen.

I kill the Architect because he cannot be trusted. His experiments are the cause of many problems. He freed the Mother and it only angered her and had her producing a strong army. He was the one that did experiments on the Old God that became the Arch Demon for the Fifth Blight. He wanted to find a way to make everyone on Thedas tainted and was thwarted. So then when he is in front of the Warden Commander he twists things to suit his needs. He even tells the sentient ones around him what they want to hear. The reason he has to do this is because they will not listen automatically like a regular darkspawn. The Architect & his other sentient ilk can command the Darkspawn around them but they cannot command each other. So the Architect just placates everyone around him to his own ends. But I assure you if he had the location for the 7th Old God? He'd be experimenting on them recklessly and spinning his web of lies if he was caught.

Yeah, that was likely for Legacy.

Which is about who knows. But the achievements really hint at Malcolm Hawke's Legacy. But griffins do bring to mind Wardens.

I also got the feeling that the Legacy DLC might tie into Malcolm's mysterious past, given the reference to having Carver along for the storyline for an Achievement. And in the mountain range for the DLC, the Vimmark Mountains, is not too far from Kirkwall, since it's technically where Hawke ends up at one point during the storyline.

Dire Bunnies.

The new allies are going to be dire bunnies, just you watch.

Dire bunnies? What happened to the Thedas Apes you were looking for? Image IPB

Dead Legion as Grey Warden allies? Seems logical since their duty is to battle darkspawn too.

Sadly, they're busy weighing down the elves. But one day, they shall decide to lend their aid to the Grey Wardens!

And if the world treats them well, then there will not be a Thedosian version of Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

The Wardens meet the Architect's twin brother, the Civil Engineer.

Or, you know, the Conductor or something.

He knows where the Old Gods are and has known since the calling, the reason he was near OG5 was that he was attempting to turn it into a Disciple (there are a few flaws in this plan, the Architect really needs someone to point out flaws in his plans) in order to end the blights forever.

@Lob: By fixing Vigil's Keep bugs do you nean they fixed the whole "Vigil's Keep upgrades not recognized and thus the people left behind are always dead"?

Yea I really don't understand why he went to something that wasn't a Darkspawn and tried to make it a Darkspawn Disciple.

I understand his intent, to free all of his brethren, but the flaws in that plan should've been evident to a monkey.

I believe so. It seems to have been fixed because Nathaniel didn't mention Anders was dead, even though my Surana Warden left him at Vigil's Keep and Nathaniel thought Anders had died on my original playthrough, and Nathaniel said the Warden killed the Architect. I was very surprised because I thought this was never going to be fixed. I'm on the PS3 and created a new character once I uploaded the latest patch.
