Well, sometimes - if you get a "weak ass bro" - then you spend all your time defending him from other people's bros.

So - it's better to have a bad ass bro. Cause then he can: "Get your back."

Now be careful! That doesn't meant what it "could" mean... he doesn't "Get your back" in the way your average "mo" might think.

"Getting ones back" actually involves a lot of posturing - some "psyching out" - and then usually a couch and some beers and a discussion about manliness and man topics. ((chicks, sports, transcendental meditation..... ))

Wrex is a good "bad ass bro" who will "get your back" when you need it.

But a bro must also know when to exit when it's "sexy time" - Wrex would know this, after all... he's got a quad, so he's kinda a profession on sexy time.

So - when the captain's quarters are a rocking... you can trust the Wrex won't let anyone come a knock'n.

He can also be trusted to keep the secret that you're banging someone of the same sex - cause that's what bros do.

Thank you for responding to this for me. I desparately wanted to, but I think I've already whipped out the "H-word" more than enough times for today.

I'm against retconning characters as fan service. I think Bioware should keep it simple and have a character's sexuality be determined by whether or not they talked about past lovers and/or showed an attraction to Shepard in previous games. In short, it would work like this:

1. Any character that previously only expressed an interest in members of the opposite sex, or an opposite sex Shepard, whether or not they were an LI: Heterosexual

2. Any character that previously expressed an interest in both members of the same or opposite sex, whether or not they were available as an LI: Bisexual (Jack, Samara)

3. Any character that previously only expressed an interest in members of the same sex, whether or not they were an LI: Homosexual

4. Any character that hasn't expressed an interest in members of either sex, including Shepard: Undetermined. Free to be defined as either heterosexual, bisexual, or homosexual in ME3

Since Garrus only expressed an interest in females, he should return as heterosexual in ME3.

As far as I'm aware there are no male squad members that fall into categories 2 or 3, so the male-male romance options should be new characters. Vega perhaps, or some other character that hasn't been revealed yet.

And absolutely no character should be Shepardsexual! I get it that he's more epic than Chuck Norris, but please. He/She should not be able to charm anyone into bed even if he/she would generally not be their type. Unless he's given indoctrination powers in ME3, there should no characters that define themselves as homosexual but are willing to sleep with a Shep of the opposite sex, and no characters that define themselves as heterosexual that are willing to make an exception for the Commander.
