No it doesn't fit. The question posed was why are there suddenly so many threads on gayness. You said "Because political correctness"

Bioware policy is to not have duplicate threads. This spans everything and includes the gay threads. And for years they have been putting it in the Fight for love thread.

Well, you see it's a slippery slope for people that don't support it because

A.) It's a confirmed feature in the game. If you made a thread for people who are against it it would most likely get locked because you're technically bashing a feature in the game and

B.) There's a fine line between being concerned for story reasons etc. and blatant homophobia. I'm an avid supporter of s/s romances (with new characters) but I'll be the first to admit many users on this board are too quick to play the homophobic card. Although, while I have seen a few users who I don't think are completely homophobic that are against it, for the most part it does tend to stem from homophobia, which isn't tolerated on these forums (as it shouldn't be.)

That thread exists so that people who don't want to be attacked can have a place to have real conversations about the subject. These threads exist so that people can say "are not" and "are too" and such like. You know it, I know it. People like to argue, and that's fine. But some people just want to chat about stuff they like. People should be able to chat about stuff they like. If every thread was under seige by people taking a dump on the subject, well, that would suck. I'd hate to go into the Tali fan thread and see a bunch of people talking smack about Tali, and telling the people who like Tali that they suck because they like her. That's their home, the place where they can all just like Tali, and be left alone. Same goes for the main s/s thread.

I completely agree, as I said I'm the first to admit some users here get carried away screaming homophobia when it's not necessarily there.

Real conversations? Sure... I will refrain from my real opinions about the purpose of that topic for the sake of not angering any moderators. Needless to say, user groups exist for these purposes.

You're insinuating that the mods aren't being objective in their tasks which is exactly what they're supposed to be.  I have had that notion for a long time concerning one of them and I wish the subjectivity would stop.  It helps nothing and seeing by my response here it leads to negativity regarding those who are, by the very nature of their job, supposed to be objective.
