I got f***ing pissed off in ME2 when I had to load and reload at least 36 playthroughs PLUS watching the unskippable cutscene just to see what were my choices from ME1.  Bioware needs to add like a screen and show us what our choices were in ME1 and 2.

They said they would be putting a "Previously on" thing at the beginning of ME3,so you needn't worry.

So you want a 20 minute cutscene to remind you of all your previous choices, instead of a 20 minute intro?
I'd rather the introm, but then again, I tend to utilise this old fashioned thing called a pen and paper.

When did I say I want a 20 minute cutscene?  All I want is a screen with no music, no cutscene, etc. and just show us all of the choices we did in previous games to be shown on the screen which every single person who ever played the series would agree it would help a lot.

No I mean every single decision that will effect ME3 not just 2 or 3 important things out of dozens of decisions.

Wouldn't that completely eliminate any chance of surprise for ME3? Wouldn't it be better to find out what decisions matter by actually playing the game?

Well, unless saving that kid from getting facecapped by Garrus on Omega becomes important, I don't think they should waste their time recapping decisions that aren't necessairly plot intergral.

Not really.  Loyalty won't spoil anything same with knowing whether the rachni queen got killed or is alive, which vermire survivor survived, renegade/paragon options won't spoil anything because we already have an idea what would happen in ME3 for example (ME2 spoilers)

If we destroyed the collector base in ME2 then we know it wouldn't be in ME3 and vice versa or at least some conversations would change.  (End spoilers)

There's really nothing I can think up of that can ruin something for us since the game will just be telling us our decisions we made.

That's why I said all decisions should be shown from ME1 and ME2 that will have an effect on ME3.

If you really just want to see the variable just take the savegame editor. That should show everything you want to know, right?

I'd like a screen like that, with all the options (as in ALL the options), and then be able to adjust it for ME2. As a PS3 pl;ayer who's played a lot of ME1 (probably 1000hrs+) it's really annoying that I have no control over what happens pre-ME2 on my current system.

You should have known you had no control over what happens in ME because no way is Microsoft going to let that game go to PS3.  Be lucky you got ME2 at all to be quite honest.  It was nothing but a money grab for EA.  The people on PS3 got the engine they are using for ME3.  You got to choose some things but that is about it.   Ever play the default Shepard in ME2?  All renegade options were used.  Council dead, rachni queen dead, no LI, Wrex dead, and so forth.

I did know, it doesn't make it any less annoying. I sold my Xbox becuase I needed cash and the only thing that was keeping me holding onto it was Mass Effect. It's great it came to PS3 but being grateful just for that is just silly. It really wouldn't have been that hard to include a screen which adjusted the plot flags for everything for those who wanted it. They must've known there'd be ME1 Vets playing on PS3.

Don't get me wrong, it's not the end of the world. I'm just saying it would be nice to have that option. Surely you can't deny that the option would've been nice?

He just wants a list of the decisions he made which are being imported over. Not a description of how they'll affect the game. I suppose that does spoil things a tiny bit, in concept, but it is acceptable to relieve the tedium of guessing which import file is the one you want.

can't you alter your PS3 ME2 save so for example you met conrad verner on the citadel or let shiala live?
I mean it is only an import from xbox to ps3.
every decision should be editable if needed + you have the new genesis thing to alter some massive decissions in a working way.

Except you'll know that they pay off somehow, won't you? If a decision is listed you then pretty much know that it's going to factor into ME3, and that spoils the mystery to a degree, if only on the most basic level.

Then again, I pretty much know all my Shepard's off by heart and know almost all the choices each of them have made, so having info like that seems redundant to me.

It's something I've looked into. Unfortunately Gibbed Savegame Editor doesn't support PS3 yet (if it ever will, from I can tell, work is finished on that project). Genisis is a nice throwback, but it's still not really brilliant. For new people to the series it's fine, but for someone who's got a lot of experience with both ME1 and 2 it just doesn't have enough detail.

Well, if they keep the screen like the one shown above, only the most important decision will fit on the first page anyway. To see the others, you'd have to scroll, so for your first playthrough, just don't scroll down and skip the screen. After the first /and maybe the second) playthrough it's a non-issue anyway.

Not sure if it's worth all the effort but if people want it, I don't see a reason why not to do it.

Just list every choice from ME and ME2 even if they doesn't effect ME3, sure it will be a massive list but it don't spoils anything.
I fully support this.

I'd like to have a copy of their spreadsheet they have for all the decisions.

I saw it on a background of one of the videos once - I heard a few sites want to use it for their CPU benchmark. Its crazy big.

I'd be happy with this. So long as it was before the unskippable cutscene and had a 'back' button so we can change profiles :3 Surprises on the smaller decisions will be nice.
