 Well I haven't been actively following ME3 for much (thanks TOR) so I have no idea if it's confirmed but it's hinted that you can either help or screw the Krogans/Quarians in an epic way.

On Tuchanka you can do a lot to help the Krogans.  If Wrex is alive he'll unite the clans and whatnot if you kept him alive.  In ME3 we should either kill his dreams or help the Krogan race to help for the Reaper invasion.  I mean there's gotta be a significant consequence for keeping Maelon's data on the genophage. 

On Tali's trial the real dela behind it all was views on a potential war with the Geth,  you have a couple of options of trying to persuade the Quarians to going to war and stuff.

All in all these two storylines were extremely funa nd itneresting.  I'm a shoter type guy, I lvoe killing stuff but with these narratives I couldn't care less about combat.  I wanted ot immerse myself with the story.  Seriously this eneds to be in the game.
